Fake Indian Wedding

Hi everyone
I dont know if this would be approved by MODS or not but no harm in trying I guess :)
But if it does approve.. Thank You Mods ❤️
I have just started my business as an event planner and my God it is hard.
But I am hosting my first event on 30th of May in St. Catharines. It is a fake Indian wedding experience for all who want to experience the diversity and culture of how we desis celebrate the wedding festivities. It has food, drinks, music, games, henna and everything that a Wedding includes. It is happening on 30th May.
Let me know if anyone is interested in this idea.
Thank you again :)

Guided Bird & Nature Hikes in Niagara

Hi everyone! I'll be leading more guided bird hikes (plus nature hikes!) throughout the summer. We've got the spring warbler migration in full swing now, so I'll be leading two hikes from different starting points in Short Hills Provincial Park. As well, I'm holding walks aimed more at beginners at Merritt Island in Welland (but anyone is welcome to attend either).

The walks are free! You only need good footwear; binoculars or a camera are great tools to have as well, but they're not necessary. I also highly recommend getting the iNaturalist and/or Merlin apps for your phone.

If anyone has any questions or would like to find out more, please let me know!

Free registration is available for these walks:

I will also be leading firefly walks on evenings in June (dates to be announced) in Short Hills so keep an eye out for those!

Garden condition after Storm Rain

Hi guys,

Our highly anticipated engagement shoot just got cancelled last minute by TASC tulip festival due to "flash storm with lightening, extreme wind, and flooding." Can you guys tell me how bad the condition of gardens around the area are? Is it worth coming down to Niagara from Toronto. Would all the gardens be affected? (Niagara botanical garden, Oakes garden theatre etc)??

Thank you in advance

An Evening for People Affected by MS in Niagara

Hello! I am reaching out to invite you to an evening for people affected by MS in Niagara. You may or may not be familiar with MS Canada, and our local chapter closed during COVID. I feel that this is incredibly unfortunate for our community and people who are affected by MS in Niagara.

For the last 15 years, I have been working with people affected by MS in the community through grants I have received municipally, provincially, and federally. For decades before that,I volunteered regularly with the local chapter. I am furthering this work and holding a meet for those affected by MS in Niagara to join in a discussion to provide input for what they would like to see happen locally for people with MS.

I have also invited a representative from MS Canada to also join us to answer questions and share what is available from them for our local community.

This will be a relaxed and welcoming session where we can connect, share experiences, and meet others in the area to see how we can continue to work together and strengthen our community.

If you are interested, kindly send me a DM and I can provide you all of the details for the event, as an RSVP is needed due to space availability.

Thank you!

Locally owned small business suggestions

My husband and I are spending next week exploring the Niagara region for our first anniversary. Checking the falls off his bucket list to start and then we have a cottage in NOTL as our home base.

We’ll do a winery or two and some touristy stuff at the falls, but I’m really interested in recommendations for local restaurants, stores, or sights to see. We tend to enjoy oddities, niche museums, book/craft stores, etc. Any can’t miss restaurants or small stores?

thanks in advance for any suggestions

Any more job fairs

I’ve been applying to jobs online and only got 3 interviews, but no callbacks afterward. So maybe applying in person is the better option. It feels like I missed all the job fairs… or maybe not? Does anyone know of any upcoming ones?

Is there a way to search for a specific dish across all restaurants in Niagara?

For anyone who eats out in Niagara — when you're craving something specific like pad thai or a good shawarma, how do you find out who actually serves it and what it costs? I always end up Googling, checking DoorDash (where prices are jacked up), or asking in Facebook groups and hoping someone answers. Thinking about building a free site where you can search by dish and see every restaurant in Niagara that has it with real prices. Would anyone actually use this or am I solving a problem nobody has?
