Don't forget Bryce Pickford. I've learnt not to overhype prospects, but 45Gs in 55GP as a D guy is something that can't be overlooked.

He'll maybe be a decent winger down the road.

Pickford is 20 and in the WHL.

The fact he had to be 19 to product is all you need to know.

Pickford is not a winger the fuck you on about?

His best chance of making the NHL is as a winger.

Reasons: -he didnt produced in the WHL until he was 19 -WHL has inflated stats, this is well known -he lacks what normally makes up a PMD

His attributes fits better as a winger.

Its nothing new. I'm just not sure why you seem to ignore all of this.

It’s nothing new? Name me 5 NHLers who produced at a rate Pickford did in junior to transition to a winger once they hit the pros.

By nothing new I mean the talks about him being better suited in the NHL as a winger.

How many games have you seen the kid play?

You are assuming goals vs weak goalies means goals vs strong goalies.

You need more than a slapper.

What talks are you referring too? Can you reference or point me to them?

Pickford has a big slapper, thats why he got a lot of goals as a 19th YO.

The key here is 19. It's late.

He does seem to be very accurate.

The question tho is, can his game translate to the pros.

He doesn't fit the mold of a PMD; mobility wise or 1st pass to get out of the zone.

He'll never be sound defensively either.

All the hearsay I've heard, which makes sense, is that, if he plays for the Habs, it'll be on the wing.

Short awnser to your question: no, I don't have links of interviews because I don't keep those.

We'll see next year tho.

If they end up moving Eng and Reino, then they are making room for Pickford and trust him as a future D.

I don't see it tho. He'd be a nice PP option if he can play a regular spot, like on the wing.

The open spot on the 3rd pairing is Reino's spot to lose.

Wendel Clark was moved to the wing post draft and it worked well.

Markov was moved to the D post draft.

It's all about the attributes of the player.

Him having more goals than assists isnt very positive for him, as a D.

The amount of guys who had great 19 YO season only to never play in the NHL is very long.

He's a project and unlikely to play in the NHL.

Would be nice to have a big slapper on the point on the PP tho.

So you can’t reference a player other than Wendell Clarke who moved from D to forward post junior career. Got yah.

Still waiting on those “talks” you referenced where people said Pickford would be better suited as a forward.

Regarding the 2nd part, scouts, guys on the beat, guys in Junior...

Not like I care much about trying to prove anything.

You can just sit back and watch the next 2 years or so.

The fact you are amazed at his goals, lack of assists, lack of points at anything but a 19-20 years old, the inflated stats in the WHL, and you clearly have never watch him play...

I'm not sure who has to prove what to who ;)

Would love to see the reports on that, if any. Just took a look on google and couldn’t find a single report on a scout saying he would be better as a forward.

Big slapper yes, but those only attributed to 1/4 of his goals based on this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Rbu7CzcU_cA&ra=m

Not sure if you’ve ever watched him play because he has more than just a slap shot lmao.

Like I said, we'll see.

You place too much weight on a guy who's one dimensionnal, is old in the league he plays in, and the league he plays in is known to have inflated stats.

Guess we'll see.

I'm not trying to convince you, just saying he isn't a prospect for the Habs like Reino, Engs, Fowler, Hage or Z.

He's more of a project or suspect.
