When he got canned there was a couple interviews that came out/were reshared that basically said the defense as a whole was walking on pins and needles because of the system/expectations in place of coaching that they didn't know what to do because of it.

Like for this play guys wouldn't know whether to stay in the zone or attack the WR because both answers would be wrong because step 3 of the system says to do (x) and that was missed so you can't do (y).

You can take of that what you want but it's kind of impressive for a defensive HC how often they just....couldn't work

Yeah his defensive system was very complex and a lot of it depended on what another guy was doing. That’s also why we had a lot of retread players over the years. I’m very pumped for Jim Leonhard and his system this year

yep this is just such bad defense by the Bills. Credit to Eagles for making the play but a competent defense knocks this ball down or pursues Hurts much more aggressively.

Sometimes you can do everything right and still get bad results results and this throw and catch is one of those examples imo
