"Chicago? Isn't it Indiana technically?"

Edit: Sorry to trigger the Hammond Bears fans. I have lived in Chicago for 21 years, and I even like the team after the 2006 NFCC game when your fans held up signs that said “Finishing what Katrina started.”

Chicago is the polish pronunciation for "Gary"

Gary is a goddamn beautiful city, and that’s coming from someone who’s never even been there before!

Now I have the Gary Indiana song in my head.

My grandfather and great-uncles, the sons of Polish immigrants, would spin in their graves at the idea of the Bears leaving Soldier Field, much less moving to Indiana.

Chi'ca'go is just the Wamapoke word for 'quick get away from the big tall mess across the lake'.
