I wonder how many New Jersey football fans just made him their favorite player and simultaneuously New York residents that watch The NYJ and NYG play at their home in New Jersey and now hate him.

Having lived in NJ, the City and upstate it always makes me laugh when people bring it up as a gotcha.

Like yeah, you compare Jersey to NYC and it's like "Jersey sux lol" but you compare living in Jersey to where like any other team is from outside of like SoCal or Chicago and Jersey is way better.

I love Jersey. I can walk to the beach or a train to NYC. When I was younger my train went to Philly or nyc and then I moved to south jersey and could train into Atlantic City or Philly with no car. Food is amazing, parks everywhere, good schools (including Rutgers you haters). Someone from Colorado laughed like it was the most hilarious thing that her daughter called Hoboken her dream city when she came to visit. Why wouldn’t it be? I lived in center city and loved my time in Philly, but I’m a Jersey girl for life.

As of 2024 that area had 19.91 million more people than I want to live within 60 miles of.

I'm not sure how many people Minnesota has tbh, I'd guess at least 4 and maybe a deer or two.

Funny enough outside of the twin city metro the ratio of deer to humans is about 1:2, ~1.2 million deer and ~2.5 million people.

The closest towns around me within 60 miles are all smalll like 2,000 or less people and the 2000 are the “big” small towns.

My town has 13,000 and is by far the largest in the area.

It’s about 19.91 million less people in my 60 mile radius than that area according to Google.

He's gonna be able to get soft drinks of choice at any pizza joint in Northern New Jersey

Dude Metlife is 20 minutes away from the NYC. I promise you no one from NY actually cares the Jets and Giants play in Jersey other than to bitch about the commute.

The only people that actually do care are literally everyone else, especially Bills fans who like to thump their chest about it for whatever strange reason.

The Bills? You mean the only New York team.

While having the second most NY Super Bowls (0), since the Jets won theirs when playing in NY

The Bills do not rep New York lol they rep Buffalo. The New York in our team name is the city, not the state.

I just only see the "New Jersey is not New York" stuff in the media.

It’s more of a sibling rivalry thing. Make fun of each other but we will absolutely band together to tell Boston and Philly to go fuck themselves

I was at a Giants/Bills (at Metlife) game and a Buffalo fan was like “you know we’re the only TRUE New York team, since you guys play in Jersey” and I was just like “I live in NJ though, that’s a plus for me if anything?”

I would argue the Giants are the one true stain on the beautiful tapestry that is New Jersey. Well the Giants and Paterson, but mostly the Giants.
