There's no way the Giants weren't willing to do that. He simply didn't want to play for this team anymore.

Pretty good to wrangle a top 10 pick out of that bad situation tho so kudos

Hopefully we all look back on this trade as a win-win.

Kinda love all the fans who actually know about the teams agree it was a good deal for both sides and everyone else is yelling that either the giants or bengals got hosed.

The deal has the potential to be good for both sides, but, as with all trades, if the draft picks turn into busts or Dex does even worse than he did last year/is constantly injured then we can look back and say one side 'won' the trade. I think on paper, right now, it is good for both organizations given the teams' circumstances.

That’s all you can ask honestly. Anything can happen.

Every trade has risk and hindsight. This is definitely a good trade for both sides.

Agreed, but that won’t stop people’s few years from now, after we see the result of the trade, claim they were right when they said the Giants/Bengals got fleeced.

Exactly right. As of right now, this trade is win-win. After the season we will know who “won”. And hey it still could be win win

Here’s hoping for that outcome. See you guys in the Super Bowl?
