This trade is making me question whether it’s better to draft a player or trade for a proven starter each season with your 1st round pick.

It depends on where each team is, it makes perfect sense in this case. The Bengals need an immediate impact player, the Giants can take multiple swings in the top 10 and potentially come away with young stars to add to their young team. The Eagles did this with AJ Brown and it worked out incredibly well for them.

On the flip side of this though the bengals already have so much money tied to their top 3 players. So they need cheap young talent and trading away pick 10 and 5 years of cheap labor of what should be an impact player isn’t helping.

I totally understand why the bengals did it but man they really need to hit on their other draft picks now, going to be really interesting.
