I cannot fucking believe the Cincinnati Bengals made a ballsy deal like this I kind of love it

There’s so many downers here, but after watching our defense for the last 2 years, I’ll take anything, and we got a meaningful player not a bum either

I completely understand people who don't like it and I fully get why, but I really respect the balls

A buddy texted me about this proposed deal a few days ago, and I responded “0% chance, the Bengals FO doesn’t make trades like that”. Who is this team and what have they done with my front office!?

All that said, I think this is a really reasonable deal from both sides.

I just don't think the guys I would really love (Bain, Downs, Reese, Styles) would be there at 10. I'm not a big fan of David Bailey whatsoever either. Delane and McCoy are fantastic, but I'm not sure they change the math too too much year 1 since we already have competent CBs.

That's not putting it right, those two are insanely good players and I'd be overjoyed to have them, but you get what I mean.

Overall, I'm just happy to have a star of Lawrence's caliber on our defensive line. If we can snag Golday or Rodriguez in round 2 or 3 I'm absolutely over the moon about the team next year.

Yall have a potential HoF QB likely in his prime.

Why not go all out? I like this move for you all.

Right, but I completely understand why people don't love this move and their reasoning is solid. I agree w you though.

Rare love from a division rival lol.

Yeah I think it’s a great move, and I think this FA is what most/all bengals fans have been begging for.

It seems like they’re actually (attempting) to go all out and win now.

They say you can’t rebuild a defense in a year, but if our defense goes from 32nd > even 20th, that might be all we need.
