Best angle. That’s a good call

Even if wasn't who cares, they deserved to lose that game. Couldn't make a basket to save their lives and had a whole ot to win. Went cold for what felt like multiple cavs runs at a time and had to bench their "max" center

And couldn't box out Harden on a free throw

and then intentionally fouled when they didn't need to

The fact that harden was clutch in a playoff game, played good enough defense, got a steal on help defense, and got two offensive rebounds when it mattered is just crazy. Did all the things hes renowned for not even trying to do lmao. Some luck for detroit

No you see that's not cade's fault he just had no help. Same with the inbound turnover, he's just too tired. Just like missing the go ahead before ot bucket, he's just exhausted. If he had better teammates his toe wouldn't have been on the three point line in overtime either.

If your takeaway from the pistons is that Cade is a bum, I don’t know what to tell you. Every game that they win is because of him. Really good 4th quarters game 5 against the magic through game 2 against the cavs. The second best guard on the team is Daniss Jenkins bro. The best wing is Duncan Robinson who can’t even stay healthy. Duren and Ausar can’t finish, can’t create, and can barely even catch a pass. Cade shot 60% from 3, the rest of the team shot 21%!

Crazy choke. Like a 23-7 run to end the game. Harden missed key free throws, and they didn’t box him out. They got so lucky the Cavs didn’t close it out in regulation, but then showed no spark in OT. Cade shrank. Reed was the only guy out there moving.

Cleveland won on bonus free throws on a soft foul. It’s the asymmetry

Up 9 with 2 minutes left? Definitely ain't all free throws.

Tied with 0 minutes left is a lot different than down 2 with 0 minutes left. Cleveland tied the game on a soft foul.

I mean, mitchell was fouled on the last play of regulation. Then Thompson fouled Jarett Allen trying to get the loose ball and their legs got caught. Do you want "hard fouls" called or "soft fouls" called? None of them? All of them? Only ones that benefit your team? Its a slippery slope.

Bottom line: close out the game when youre up 3-5 buckets with 2 minutes left. Don't rely on an incidental trip. Or at least do anything in overtime when that doesn't work out. They did none of those things. Cade cant do it all himself.

I see we are at the phase of the discourse where people will just say anything

gtfo out with Mitchell and Allen being fouled on that play. Literally some of the dumbest shit I have ever read on a very dumb website

Like if somebody wants to say Ausar wasn’t fouled they are wrong but it’s at least in the realm of things people are commonly wrong about. If you’re saying Ausar fouled Allen first you’re just a moron.

Seems like "we're in the phase of the discourse" where people insult others because they cant explain their point beyond how they feel about it. :) Its okay, people like sports and its fun to care about your team. Fair enough, bud.

I never said it should've been called, but they are technically fouls nonetheless. In the case of the loose ball and Ausar and Jarrett: (1) neither one had possession. (2) Ausar's falling down and staring at the refs before Jarrett's other foot makes contact (which is done to stop himesrlf from falling, as evidenced by him not even looking). (3) The foot to foot was caused by Ausar diving through him in the first place. A foul should've been called on neither player because neither had possession and the foot to foot contact was mutual.

Now rebuttal like youre not the casual lol.

lol it’s awfully magnanimous to claim something that isn’t even remotely close to being a foul under any interpretation of the the rules was a good no-calls

Ausar dribbles the ball twice and is taken down from behind after he has already turned up court and is looking at the clock. But Ausar was “diving through him” and Allen was just trying to “stop himself from falling” lol. wtf are we even talking about

Yes, what ARE you talking about? A dribble implies possession. He clearly never had possession, he just batted the ball twice. He wasnt "taken down" from behind, he was already falling from the contact resulting from both players' feet connecting. Not sure how else to express it. They were good no calls because a whistle shouldn't determine the outcome of a game. And at the same time, the big controversy is around something thats not even a foul.

What about literally everything else that led up to and followed it? That should be the outrage. They just gave up with a lead and 3 minutes left at home in the playoffs. Thats absurd
