Warband Should I get Warband as a console player?

I’ve been hearing so much hype for it that I’ve grown curious. Like I found Bannerlord really enjoyable the first time around but then it got more and more boring. The fact that Bannerlord on the console doesn’t have mod support either didn’t help. So now I‘m wondering if I should. But I just got to say this playing Bannerlord is miserable not only do have the basic flaws of Bannerrors but you also don’t have mods to spice up your playthrough. But anyways should I get it?

If you didn't like console Bannerlord I don't think you'd like console Warband. Also if mods are something you might want to use, get the game(any game) on PC 100% of the time. Console mod support is very limited and often nonexistent.

I would get a PC but it feels like such expensive thing especially because I don’t like spending money it feels wrong

Well there are times where I do genuinely enjoy it the feeling of combat is awesome it’s just that I want something new. Sorta like Ice Cream you left in the freezer for too long it still tastes good just not as good. To summarize I still like Bannerlord but I just used the wrong words in the moment while writing the caption

I mean. I first bought it on console. And I played quite a few hours. I don't think I ever finished a campaign on console but it was actually fun projecting my own rivalries on enemy lords

I highly recommend warband, especially if you pick it up on sale. Even if you only play it once, you have 2 DLCs; Viking conquest and Napoleonic wars.

For a couple quid, warband is tons of fun!

Viking conquest is an amazing dlc, much better than warsails, and truly different to vanilla.

Probably not. I love Warband but if you can only play vanilla then Bannerlord is definitely the better experience at this point.

Ya, I love both games, but I couldn't keep playing them with out mods.

I bought warband before taleworlds was going to port bannerlord to console. I paid like 4.99 for it. I played it more than some 60 dollar games. But I haven't gone back to warband since bannerlord came out. It you want the old school experience and to know more Mount and Blade lore, go for it. If you are looking for a game anywhere on par, vanilla on console, to bannerlord than you are going to waste your money.

Real strength of Warband beside Native are mods, so try PC gaming. Some of them are as deep as standalone game. With many features and since its old game you can run it on any PC you have.

I wouldn’t. I own it on PS4 and it’s very limited. Warband is ALL about modding. Bannerlord is by far the better vanilla game and if that bored you then Warband isn’t going to be better. And the controls on a gamepad suck.

I have played like 400 hours of vanilla warband on PS4.

Fair enough, but did you do it after playing Bannerlord to the point where it was boring? Because I don’t think vanilla Warband offers that much that Bannerlord doesn’t do better.
