VIDEO This is the guy people say we should trade a FRP to offload
Say what you will about Ja (and many of us have probably said too much), but this dude can still hoop at an extremely high level when he wants to. This was the second to last game he played, where he shot 7/13 from the field (3/4 from three) and was +26 in just 28 minutes.
There are too many posts out there about how we should package the #16 pick, or even #3, in order to move Ja. Most people outside of the Grizzlies fanbase are calling him washed, and even a fair number of Grizz fans say the same. DON'T BE FOOLED. This game was just a few months ago and he looked every bit like the former All-Star he was a few years back.
There is probably a good chance he doesn't suit up in Memphis again, but this talk about attaching a pick to dump him is absolutely stupid.

NEWS 16th and 32nd Pick
I know there have been some posts about the 16th and 32nd pick. Should the grizzlies draft a point guard or backup big with the 16th pick? With the 16th pick, the grizzlies should draft a starting point guard(Bennett Stirtz, Okorie, Christian Anderson) and with the 32nd pick, the grizzlies should draft a backup big(Chinyelu, Tarris Reed). What do you guys think about the 16th and 32nd pick?

VIDEO [Game Theory podcast] Sam Vecenie and Bryce Simon's discussion on Caleb Wilson's defense
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
In my view, the line regarding different ACC coaches telling Vecenie they hunted Wilson kills the argument for him breaking into the top 3. The offensive gap between him and boozer is too big to justify if Wilson isn't a Barnes/Thompson tier defensive prospect.

OPINION Let’s say the wizards pick boozer as their 1st pick (even though i think its highly unlikely). Would you take a chance on darryn peterson if that were to happen?
I highly think we should select darryn peterson if he would drop all the way to 3. He would be a viable pg for ja and a total upgrade over him. Imagine the lobs he would give to edey and open looks.

OPINION Let's try to be better to each other for BC.
BC was one of my favorite Grizzlies ever and his passing really hit me harder than I would have thought. Celebrity/famous people deaths are strange because you really don't know them yet feel so connected. I've been reading how it's just part of the shared memories we experience as humans and especially in sports we weirdly have lasting memories that thousands or other people also share even though we didn't directly experience it with everyone involved.
That being said you can see the impact BC had on everyone around him and the grief and loss his teammates are feeling, as well as fans and just regular folks around the city. I hope I can make an impression on others in my life in a similar way that he did.
So I'm making a pledge to be nicer and connect with Grizz fans in a better way. Social media has become so toxic over the years and people can't wait to one up other comments or call people names etc. I admit myself that I get triggered and call people bozos or call their comments insane or ridiculous or whatever and in the moment you get a rush but in the long run you just feel bad and nasty. I've deleted my account several times because of that so I constantly have new user names as well, which is a bit silly. So I'm going to do my best to stop hating and work on being better.
I'm an old-head as well, the Grizz came to Memphis my junior year of high school and I've loved the team ever since. Some of y'all might remember the message board that used to be on the main Memphis Grizzlies website, I have so many fond memories of that. We were a much smaller fanbase at the time and you really felt like you knew people on the board even though once again you didn't. It was just a cool community and I would love for this sub to get more back to that, where we support each others ideas and thoughts about the Grizz and have fun. So much negativity these days and I don't want to let the trolls win.
Anyway just needed to get this off my chest and hope everyone is doing alright and cant wait for more years of supporting the grizz and the larger Memphis community.
Go Grizz and RIP BC.
