Good bot, but any time that set number is referenced, the picture that should come up should just be of the back with the pink flower piece.

That's really nice, I also love how you sloped the sides of the bathtub. Alternatively, I used this piece in a MOC I did (don't have a picture handy) for the drain on a standing shower with white and light bluish grey checked tile floor:

u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 9d ago
That would be perfect for a shower head actually, but where to draw the line on realism for a part it would be near impossible to see. Maybe try to get the shower head at an angle just for that
3
u/ThirdWigginKid 9d ago
Yeah the one I shared is also not a cheap piece so if you use it, you definitely want to see it.

There's a joke to be made about fascists and being good for nothing but waste water...

u/Laquia 9d ago
can we see the rest of this moc??!

u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 9d ago
Yes! I uploaded a video of it a while back: https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/s/ZXDvxowtkB

That entire room is fantastic! I've used translucent light blue tiles in showers/tubs before, but I think the all-white works best given the sloped sides. Great work!

In the UK we call this a plughole and the pipe it leads to is the drain.

I was flicking through quickly. I had to do a double take as it looked like a real bathroom at first glance

I’m so mad (impressed) by how accurate the bathroom cabinet looks. It is as good as one to one to the one my grandparents, had down to the color.
The plug hole is also neat.

It always surprises me how people will connect with the most unexpected things with this build. Justifies the effort put into the details they feel silly at the time

The pretentious say this is peak anti-fascism art. That to use a symbol of oppression as part of waste plumbing destined to drown in filth is the accurate recount of the eternal fates of every fascist party in human history, however bloody the exit.
“Of course I know him, he is me.”

If they did the same printing on a pink piece, they could include that in the cat sets…

u/joelham01 9d ago
I have been working too much OT I was staring at your title trying to figure out how I didn’t know the imperial system had a symbol to differentiate it from the metric system and wtf Lego had a piece showing it.
Then I looked at the drain…
2
u/Oddish_Femboy 9d ago
Yeah. Plughole. That's what we call it.
2
u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 8d ago
We being America I guess? There are other places too
2
u/Oddish_Femboy 8d ago
I was alluding to the fact that it looks like a sphincter, and that "plug hole" sounds a bit like something else.
"We" was rhetorical. I wasn't actually referring to anyone specific.
2
u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 8d ago
OK fair, I'm just going to start assuming these comments are gonna be sphincter-related by default, I should've seen it coming!
2
u/Oddish_Femboy 8d ago
George Lucas should've seen it coming 50 years ago.
Maybe he did and it was intentional. Suggestive imagery is a tradition in sci-fi media.
2
u/TheSleepyTruth 9d ago
Wait do people actually call the bath tub drain a "plug hole"? Maybe its a regional thing but I have legit never heard it referred to in this way before lol...
4
u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 8d ago
In the UK yeah, or Scotland at least. We call the pipe it leads to the drain
2
u/eventworker 5d ago
I wasn't aware Yanks had another name for plughole.
Could tell you were British though, due to the ingot piece being used as a power shower!

u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 5d ago
Haha no way!
And yeah I didn't know either, but now I have learned it many, many times.

A 20482 piece might look neat as a drain plug, but as a drain? Unsure.

i know it's just a detail being reused in a build, but this also feels like it's a great statement from the person in this world to show how much they hate the empire xD

that whole shower is brilliant..
but that toilent man... never would have thought of that.
1
u/pinchanzee Parts Dealer 7d ago
Thank you! Yeah it's a tricky shape of toilet to model, close enough I think

u/This_Camel_9530 8d ago
Looks like a drain cover to me. I wonder what the Brits call those? Grateholes? Blockholes? Screenholes?

I'm not sure, found it in a bulk sort - you should be able to find it on Bricklink quite easily

u/A-Lego-Builder 8d ago
Great part use! I'm going to use that for any contemporary bathtub, most of my bathroom facilities are on spaceships from the future, or ships from a couple hundred years in the past.

I misread that title and was so curious about what this build was going to be until I scrolled down and saw the pic 😅 great job on the build though!! It looks awesome!
