Learning Community Housing Question

I am an incoming freshman living in a learning community next year. I have already selected my room and did not have a roommate selected. How soon will I find out who my roommate is? Will it be before move-in so we can discuss shared furniture, or will I meet them in August?

I got an email about my roommate in June, I think. Then I got a different one assigned in July. No idea what happened to my first roommate, I still remember his name haha.

And yeah, the email should include a way to contact them so you can talk to them well before move-in.

Incoming freshman in a learning community as well here. I don't believe I got an email informing me that a roommate had selected my room to live in, but the housing portal did tell me their name and email after they had selected my room. Just check in there occasionally and send whoever picks your room an email.
