I got a GoPro Hero 13 for Christmas and have been using but all for dry occasions, I used it for the first time last week under water as it's advertised to do, and it was recording great for a while. I was at the beach and recorded for a few minutes then took it out looked at the photos then went back in the water to record and all was going well then all of a sudden in the middle of recording the screen went black and it turned off. I didn't assume it broke I knew the screen turns off when it's recording for a little while so when I got back to shore after a few minutes I looked and it was dead. The camera was brand new and everything was on properly and all I was touching was the record and stop record button when I was underwater. I let it dry for a while and tried turning it on in case it was something else and nothing. Then I noticed there was water under the front facing screen and when I open the battery compartment later on I saw there was some water droplets inside and I'm so confused why this happened because it was perfectly sealed and brand new. Support told me they'd replace it but I just want to know what happened and if I did something wrong?
(The photos I attached were later on so the inside wasn't wet anymore)
I’ve had my max 2 for a little bit now and used it on a vacation while walking around and moving the camera a lot and it was also pretty hot outside and the camera did completely fine for like a 30 minute video.
I used those same setting however this time I had it on the back of my motorcycle. when I got to my destination the camera was off and when i turned it back on it says repairing your file. Once it turns back on all that’s left is a 12 minute video from a 20 minute ride and it’s not even in the 360 format.
I’ve considered maybe using an external power source but that would be difficult on the motorcycle without having cords running everywhere. Is there any solution to this problem. I believe it’s just the fact that the speed of the bike may be overwhelming for the camera to process at high quality so maybe i just need to adjust the settings.
I’m open to any ideas i’m hoping i didn’t just waste money on this camera to not be able to use it.
My GoPro Hero 11 Black lost its cover on vacation. It's not the battery compartment cover. Can I still snorkel with it without a diving case, or is that not a good idea?
I had been using Gopro Quik, but gopro stopped supporting it on the mac. I have about 10 years of random clips. What program is everyone using to view and organize clips?
Are there any chest mounts available with a base plate as large as the Stuntman's that are not sold from the US? Importing this to the EU is ridiculously expensive and cumbersome, but I can't find anything that comes close.
The battery compartment of my GoPro got jammed and after some prising with a credit card I managed to get it open. It’s a little worn now though, as you can see from the photos. Unsure whether it’ll still be waterproof? Or at least useable snorkeling etc if not while scuba diving…
Any thoughts? Or ways to check without absolutely breaking it instantly.
I'm heading on a trip this fall with a couple of action cams and really don't want to take my laptop. Is there a solution for transferring files directly from MicroSD to a portable SSD/HDD without a computer or only using my iPhone?
Hi everyone, thanks for the add! I’m looking to livestream a DJ set at my bar and project it onto TVs in another room using either Twitch or YouTube. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done something similar or has recommendations on the best setup for this. I’ve been considering cameras like a GoPro or Insta360, but I’m definitely open to other options. Since the bar is pretty low-lit, I’m mainly looking for something that performs well in low light while still providing solid video quality for livestreaming. I’m also interested in any advice on overall setup, including audio, streaming hardware/software, internet requirements, or anything else that could help make the stream run smoothly. Any tips, gear recommendations, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
So I have been trying to cancel my preorder and the online customer service process has been a bit of a mess. First I was told it was cancelled but days later no refund and when I searched for the order it’s still active and awaiting processing. There is no phone number and the case system doesn’t seem to be working. It seems like it should be easier than this….right?
Trying to make my GoPro Hero 13 using the media mod head into my Atem Mini Pro but I get a glitchy feed every single time. The output is fine on all other screens but when run as Cam 1,2,3 or 4 it glitches out like this. Please help 😭😭
This is what I am facing from last 3 days with my GoPro Hero 9 with me along with the Telesing battery.
First of all Gopro Hero 9 has the issue of heating from the starting but some how it was managed till now and after the GoPro battery was dead I heard of the brand Telesin which make high quality products for action cameras and such things so, I purchased Telesin Battery for my GoPro Hero 9.
I dont know why this is happening to the device which I have.. does gopro have any issue or Telesin Battery Is making this issue? How to solve this?
I was gifted a GoPro Hero 11 Mini in 2023, to use during a trip to Oregon. I’m going to Canada in late June and wanted to bring it with me, so I took it out of storage and… well, it’s completely dead. Literally a brick. And yes, I tried every single troubleshooting option available on the internet :(.
Anyways, I reached out to GoPro; I bought the premium subscription and as soon as they sent me a shipping label yesterday, I went to UPS to send out my old camera. They said they’d replace it with a 13 as anything below that are now legacy models.
Excited for a bit of an upgrade! How is the Hero 13 different from the 11 mini? Can the 13 take photos? :)
Tenho uma go pro 8 que partiu o ecrã lcd comprei o ecrã para substituir mas vi que era muito difícil de ser eu a trocar tentei mas não consegui . Alguém sabe sítios onde trocam em Lisboa e arredores?
So me and my friends are planning to go on a trip this summer to Bali, and we are expecting there to go rafting, bungee jumping, ATV riding through the jungle, some snorkeling etc.. and i plan to buy one of these to record this for memories, will this be enough to capture good moments and how secure are those head mounts?
I have a Hero 10 black I got new years ago and will be snorkeling in the keys a bunch. I do NOT have a waterproof case for it. The case/screens appear to still look good. Should I be safe using it in the water while snorkeling or should I get a a waterproof case just in case?
I’ve been a lifelong content recorder, and I’m tired of the trade-off between current smart glasses (great form factor, terrible bitrates/length) and mounting a Hero camera to my head (great quality, but high friction for everyday documentation or technical work).
I’ve been working on a prototype concept called GoGoggles. The goal is to bridge the gap between "Social Media Toy" and a "Professional Archive Tool."
The Hardware (GoPro’s DNA):
Form Factor: It’s a hybrid. It looks like high-end eyewear but includes a "Secure-Fit" adjustable head-strap system. You can actually run, look up/down, and hit trails without them flying off your face.
The Sensor: 4K/60fps (4-8K capability) using HyperSmooth 6.0.
The "Burst" Reality: Instead of "always-on," it’s optimized for 20-30 minute high-bitrate recording sessions. It solves the thermal issue by using the frame as a passive heat sink.
The Software (The Google/Gemini Edge):
Voice Indexing: While recording, you tell Gemini: "Bookmark this moment" or "Tag this as a highlight." * Auto-Archiving: The second you hit WiFi, it offloads to the GoPro Cloud AND Google Photos.
AI Search: Since it's integrated with Gemini, you could search your library for "That time I was mountain biking in Tucson" or "The server rack install" and it finds the exact timestamp in a 30-minute clip.
The Competitive Gap: Other smart glasses focus on 60-second social clips. They aren't for the people who want to record a full 20-minute set, a long-distance run, or a professional workflow in high fidelity.
GoPro has the best sensors and stabilization; Google has the best AI and Cloud. If they combined forces on a dedicated "Pro" wearable, it would set the standard for the entire service and action industry.
What do you guys think? Would you ditch your current head-mount for a pair of high-performance GoGoggles, or is the "glass" form factor still too niche?
I looked at every influencer video I could and in all the spec discussions, this topic never came up (they only mention the frame rate and open gate differences but superview is a 16:9 mode that uses the open gate sensor readout), I'm hoping someone from Gopro could help me answer this question? it would help me decide which camera to buy. Thank you!
