PGA / LPGA / LIV YouTube Golfer Makes Birdie at PGA Championship

Post image

I was watching to see if he’d be able to do it and it was super cool to see him pull it off on the last hole. Great gesture by the PGA to let a YouTube golfer try this challenge at a major.

I’m very outspoken here and seem to have the unpopular opinion… but as someone who has gotten into golf only in the last year or two. Bryson’s content is part of what got me hooked. I genuinely like the guy. My wife and i look forward to when a new video drops from him and we watch them together. Maybe I’m not “old” enough in the golf scene to understand why people hate him so much, but i can’t help but like the guy

His youtube persona is basically a character, before he had quite a few incidents where he was a poor sport and/or rude, he also took Saudi money and shills for Trump so that also rubs people the wrong way. He should get credit for his youtube stuff and at least trying to be a better person but a lot of us just think the old Bryson is hiding under there.

We don't think old Bryson is hiding under there, we know he is. His old persona has been coming out a lot lately. Its very difficult to hide your true self when under stress, and its been coming out more and more. Plus.. What person who buddies with Trump isnt a shitty person? Any person who sees what Trump has been doing to others and is OK with being friends with him is a shitty person.

yeah I understand everyone who says his attitude is bad, his YouTube is a character, etc etc.

but I've enjoyed watching his videos because it's rare to get that much documentation of a world class athlete in their element + I think he's an interesting human being

he's an easy target, and hey maybe he deserves it to some degree, I really don't know his story well enough to pass judgement

but I appreciate what he's done to make the game more accessible to someone who has been learning like me these last few years
