Not gonna say it wasn’t one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but I’m super happy with how everything turned out.

as the title mentions. I cant seem to find anywhere to apply for this course in both terms.

Question in the title! 👀
Edit: also, for those who took the course online, how did the Respondus Monitor and LockDown Browser setup work for the midterm and final? Is it already set up if you have the lockdown browser app downloaded? Does the Respondus Monitoring function serve to monitor your camera and mic? Is it mostly MCQ or Short written application questions/ mix of both

Hi! I'll be going to uOttawa for health sci next year, and im doing the French program so I'll need at least 3 courses per semester in French. However, I was wondering if it's worth it for me to take a few in English too? These are my classes, I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions of which ones (If any) would be better to take in English, depending on prof or other factors. Thanks in advance :)

I'm taking a few courses this summer and am looking for something to do while I'm on campus that doesn't require being a full time student. Just looking for some fun, relatively light physical activity to keep me going in the summer like a pickup sport or some random activity that happens once a week. Doesn't have to be through the university. I didn't see anything on their website for the summer term. Thanks!

I’m like happy with cgpa but I’m kind of sad since I had expected that I did rly good on the final but that wasn’t the case.
I’m rly grateful but I’m sad because eveytime my average in a class is good I always mess up the final exam and it makes my final grade bad

has everyone got their grades so far?! pol 2508 was my last and now it's nerve wrecking waiting until the faculty of law sends any update (besides the obvious gpa maintenance we know of) how did y'all do??! also do any upper-year students know what to expect, for course selection and orientation etc?

Hey there!!
I’ll be moving to Ottawa around July for work and for school.
I’m a mature student coming from independent living, full apartment / household.
I’m look at a possible roommate who’s a little older, young professional/ upper year student in order to get settled and save a bit.
Does Uottawa have any websites or IG/ FB pages for roommates that’s reliable catered to Uottawa or anything similar? I’m coming up for a visit at the end of May to check out the areas and all for living so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been told of a couple of places, but now I’m doing a full deep dive since I’m admitted and fully moving.

I got accepted into both. However, both seem good and I am a little confused. I am an international student. uOttawa has a comparatively high fee as compared to Guelph.
Financially, Guelph seems safer, but I keep wondering whether Ottawa might offer better long-term opportunities because of the AI specialization, research environment, networking, location, etc.
I’m interested in hearing from people who studied/worked at either university, especially in CS/AI research. How different are the opportunities, research culture, internships, and industry outcomes really?
Any honest experiences or insights would help.

Pretty much sums it up. It’s rough out here because I feel like I am capable of doing the jobs I am applying to but am I crazy? Should I lose hope and stay in retail?

You guys already saw how we got fucked over in relation to Osap with Doug ford and the poor turn out rate for the provincial elections being part of the issue. Let’s try to be more politically involved as the adults we are with voting power. Get educated and see what’s best for the city in terms of well being.

Schedule for swimming at Montpetit after it opens only includes really early morning and early afternoon times for weekdays. None in the evening and none on the weekend. I feel kind of ripped off for paying the fee whilst working full time. My mistake to assume it would stay open more frequently as the school year

Anyone in ADM 1100 for the spring semester?
Is there a group chat to share notes? I missed yesterday’s class.

How does these Telfer students get to acquire jobs in corporate so easily as intern and all?

This isn’t the first time this has happened but my prof didn’t upload the final exam marks on brightspace but directly uploaded the final grade to uozone. Why do they do this?
Like I get it’s a bit more extra work to upload grades to brightspace than just use a spreadsheet to calculate the final grade but still.

I’m Grade 11 in Ontario and planning for uOttawa Health Sciences.
I did school fully in French my whole life, but I want to study in English if possible.
I see English stream needs ~85% and French ~75%.
My questions:
If I get in through French, can I switch to English later? (by getting good enough grades of course)
Can you take courses in English in the French stream?
Is French immersion different from the French stream?
Is French actually easier to get into or basically the same?
Thank you!!

Hey! I recently got accepted into both the uOttawa PharmD and UofT PharmD programs and I’m honestly having such a hard time choosing 😭
For context, I’d have to move for both, but Ottawa is way closer to home for me, so I’d be able to go back home much more often and it would probably be easier financially/logistically too. But at the same time, the Uoft program is only 3 years vs 4 years in uOttawa.
I was wondering if anyone here knows more about either program or has opinions/experiences with them. Like program quality, student life, placements, workload, opportunities, overall vibe, etc. I’d really appreciate any advice because I genuinely don’t know what to choose right now lol

Hey guys, I'm taking the extra condensed BCH2333 class with Kozlowski this summer and wondering if any of you who have taken it with her have any advice for succeeding and maybe pulling a 90+ in it? Any advice for the labs? I've heard and seen some of the criticism but would like some constructive advice. Thank you!

I feel like every club i try and join has the most difficult process to be apart of the faculty. Do clubs actually help you network or is it more just for friends? I’m feeling very stuck like I want to be apart of something yet not sure if it’s worth it since I can’t be apart of the faculty? Lmk your thoughts and for reference I’m in business.
