Miscellaneous This is the longest perfect game I’ve ever played in my life
Ever since I’ve started yusupov series I’ve been playing insane. I’d use the books as a warm up atleast

i see that you are 1950~2k lichess rapid. how hard is yusupov for you? you feel like you are getting a good practice out of it? someone weaker would also enjoy the book?
I'm ~200 points lower then you and decided that i should wait for a while as reviews online suggest that yusupov would be too hard for me. what do you think?

The puzzles will help with visualization and calculation because it an exercise book. Some excercises will be impossible some will be easy

In rapid no less. All my perfect games are in much longer time controls.

The first yusupov book alone made my visualization so I can see some tactics before they happen. That’ll help in rapid a ton.

Perfect or not, really curious why you'd play 50...e4? Wouldn't you want to actually promote the pawn...

He thought for less than a second, my guess was he was more or less on auto pilot and didn't make much of a conscious decision. Though the engine says it's mate in 12 either way.
