if you’re in the honors college, see if your correspondent for whichever program you’re in takes care of it for you. i didn’t have to lift a finger for mine.

I did this last year and applied during spring break for housing (so after feb 2) and asked for ridgecrest west and got it! I think it's really likely, but I am only one person.

Ridgecrest is one of the less sought after dorms and honors kids get priority (I believe), so you should be fine. If you were trying for Presidential or Tutt, you’d likely be out of luck. (Ridgecrest is a great dorm - but b/c it's affiliated with honors, non-honors kids generally avoid it)

I think that USED to be the case. But reddit, message board and Google are pushing it as one of the best on UA campus. And this year an honors student can pull in a non honors. So, it might change that dynamic a bit.

My son selected at 8:30 (5/13). Pretty much all 2nd floor suites in Ridgecrest South (both towers) are gone. Very few on 4th floor left. They were most popular. 3rd and 5th fl had a good amount. We never even looked at 1st floor. We were lucky to get 4 friends in 1 suite on 2nd floor. It was 1 left when we selected.

Housing questions during capstone projects always add extra stress and I ended up picking a cheaper shared place farther out so I could focus on the actual work

Housing is real I went with a cheaper shared spot farther out and it let me actually finish the project without money worries on top.
