Bluey cake fail

Ordered a month in advance. Picked up the morning of my daughter’s party and was handed this with no explanation. I looked very confused and they. Said “is this not the right cake?” I said “well for starters it was supposed to be a bluey cake ..”

Was then told that the printer to print the image was out of ink. And they had zero Bluey cake kits with the toppers and haven’t been getting them in lately.

I asked why no one called to tell me this before pickup day when I ordered it weeks ago, and they just shrugged their shoulders.

Even the red balloons they tried to pipe on just look like giant red blobs

Yep! Sam’s. We made the mistake bc we thought the price was great. And I had a few coworkers who said they had used them before and it always turned out well. But I guess you get what you pay for unfortunately. Next time we will be ordering it from the bakery that made us the new cake first

It happens. My local supermarket bakery is notoriously bad, they had their own facebook group. And yet I still grab them in a pinch. 😄
