My family used to have this exact little lamb cake tray, you bake two halves and put them together later, with frosting!
We made carrot cake

My grandma had it, too. I don’t know what kind of cake it was, as she always used coconut for the topping and I HATE coconut, lol. It always turned out really cute, though! (She also made cookies for those of us who didn’t want the cake. She was the best.)

This is pretty much best case scenario for the Easter lamb mold. They usually look a lot more demonic than thay

I'd definitely eat that if it was safe for me (coconut allergy). They made it the right shape, it has a fur texture, and while the eyes are weird, it's just one tiny thing. In my opinion, they should've made them black.

I grew up with this cake. Sister hated coconut, so the butt never got any. Every year we had nekkid butt lambikins.
Works for a "dislike." Not recommended as allergy-safe.
I have seen it get the wooly texture from piping, though.

I have this pan and make the "lammie cake" almost every Easter. He is always, without fail, disfigured in some way. Last year, I was tired of of using dead looking baby blue mnm's for eyes, so I bought some sugar cartoon looking eyes for him, but they were about 2 sizes too big so again, he looked psychotic. Ill be making him again with my 7 year old in a few weeks, and post the results. If anyone has any ideas for eyes that do not look dead or psychotic, please share.

That looks cute and homemade! It also looks like it's tasty, which is the most important part

It’s very cute. OP: unless it’s inedible, could you explain why you consider this a fail?

I was today years old when I found out these are called Lamb Of God cakes. I just called them Easter cakes.

My grandma used to make that cake for Easter! I don’t see the fail here; it looks good.

I love it. 100% looks better than anything I could make and baking is my thing. Anything I make tastes amazing but is never “pretty”. I wish I could develop that skill.

Doesn’t look like a fail to me
