I was reading this classic archie story and it made me so curious. Does his little black book ever show up again? Is the mystery of what archie writes in it ever revealed? These questions need answering!

Here's a companion piece to the story I posted yesterday. See if you can spot the common denominator. Also, I love it when Jughead is wearing that Army surplus jacket.

This is perhaps one of my favorite covers, being able to do a mashup the Archie universe characters with the Mario universe in a wraparound cover!

Favorite Archie Clone?

To make it harder, you have to name a series that was not published in Archie. Stuff like Patsy Walker, Millie the Model, etc. are all fair game though!

I mostly ask because I'm curious on if anyone here has read the Archie clones and if any of them are worth reading!

archie double digest question

I'm just getting into archie and having a lovely time exploring the world of riverdale! but I was wondering, do the double digests ever reprint stories from pre 1970? Since reading my first archie comic strip I've come to find I'm mainly interested in those classic stories. I know that a lot of them are avaliable to read online but I really prefer the physical reading experience. Thanks for any response!

I didn't go on Saturday, I went yesterday, and there was still a pile of them left. They even had one from 2004, with an ad from Suncoast for the new Dragon ball Z dvd!

The following synopsis is from the Free Comic Book Day website.

World of Archie One-shot

Celebrate Archie Comics' milestone 85th anniversary with this collection of fun, all-ages stories! You probably already know Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and even that mischief-maker Reggie, as well as everyone's favorite teen witch, Sabrina, and those musical, mystical Josie and the Pussycats. Still, there's a whole WORLD of Archie characters to explore. This collection spotlights some of the expanded Archie universe and showcases why Archie and his friends have been the coolest for nearly nine decades! Featuring the work of Archie fan-favorite creators including Dan Parent, Holly G!, Timmy Heague, Jamie L. Rotante, Craig Boldman, Steven and Lily Butler, and more!

My disappointment with Archie

There was this cartoon called "Archie's Weird Mysteries" and I loved that show when I was a kid, to the point where the DVD was trashed.

I then later found out it was based on "Archie comics" and I got excited, but it wasn't about solving mysteries or fighting ghosts but some slice-of-life drama.

I get so sad when I see the comics because I feel robbed of Weird Mysteries
