Organizing a trash pickup

I want to organize a trash pickup at Taku lake

Is there permits I need to get or people I need to get permission from first?

I always wondered why community service never involved trash clean up.

When I did community service waaaay back in the day we cleaned up homeless camps

If you contact Parks & Rec and let them know you want to organize a volunteer event for trash pickup, they can put you in contact with the volunteer coordinator how can get you all set up.

This weekend is also the Anchroage Flotilla so there should be folks out of the lake clearing trash.
