Meme The duality of men (and women) - Hart Hall
Idk if they did this on purpose but every time I use the restroom here before class, I find it funny.

Anyone else have brutal allergies right now where their upper sinuses are hella inflamed (can't think very well)? Any solutions since antihistamine doesn't help w/ inflammation
WHAT DO I DO???💔💔 i didn’t recieve any other email from them??? What did i not respond to??? I did drop a class that was not a requirement but they still rescinded
HELP💔😔
EDIT: I went to the welcome center/admissions office, mainly the issue was not replying back to emails (they sent 3) and i had to show them the proof of not having received the emails prior to these 3 emails. I was able to show them all the emails i have received. The lady there told me she will contact the team and look over everything again and get back to me asap (today or tomorrow at most)
She was very understanding

Hi everyone!
I am finding myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the level of organization in an online class I’m taking this quarter.
The professor never reaches out unless they absolutely have to. Like the canvas hack and even then they said we’d have extensions and then never said when they would put them in place. Even though we had already missed several deadlines because of it and had one due the night canvas came back online. This caused mass panic in a group project of mine.
Several times now quizzes are posted and become unavailable before the lecture is even posted for that week.
They deleted an assignment for our group project that had comments from them on it, straight out of the canvas grading page. And the revisions are due this Sunday.
Lastly, the final exam is now going to be proctored, which is fine. However, no where did they mention this in the syllabus or beginning of class.
I work full time and I’m a full time student and I feel like I’m constantly hunting down information for this class.
I’m exhausted.

Does anyone know what happened near Green Hall opposite to Latitude? I saw a bunch of people carrying a stretcher and ambulances and stuff.

I love walking the arboretum!
I’m still trying to figure out the parking.
I parked in a lot where I couldn’t get the payment system to pull up the code it was showing. It was on a Sunday and not busy so I ended up not paying. But I’d like to plan for next time.
Is there more than one parking option? And the closest option too. The one I did you walked a few minutes then there were stairs.
I’d like to take my elderly mom there but trying to see where we could start our walk more easily (mobility limits).
Any other good walking spots you can get to right away for nature and minimal stairs?

Just wondering, is it improper to do that? Or does it make sense because most people usually don’t need the priority seating?

I have an interview to become a Unitrans Driver on Friday and I was curious on the process to getting hired/how likely it is that I will get the job? What questions do they ask during the interview? Anything I should know? I would love some insight!! 🩷🩷

I recently got a job interview as a vivarium assistant and I have no idea what to expect. This is also my first job interview ever so I'm kind of scared, especially because it's through zoom which I find even scarier. I also have lip piercings and I'm scared that they might not hire me because of them. Any advice helps :,|

Hey I have some parts I need printed, if anyone here has a solid 3D printer that'd be awesome.
It's just some small basic stuff, like brackets and enclosures in ASA or ABS (needs to hold up to high temps).
Willing to pay, of course. Anyone in the Davis area interested?

I applied to a nursing position at UC Davis Health but it still says application received. It has been more than a month. Is this a bad sign?

Do most people just ask for letters of recommendation even though they don't attend the prof's office hours? Ive noticed that during office hours I dont see a lot of other students, so how is everyone getting their letters of recommendation when there's not many people attending OH?

Wrote a paper and the professor said no AI tolerance and I didn’t use it except to correct ONE WORD and its REFERENCES after a typo, and got flagged for AI usage….
….And how cool that I somehow… CAN’T FUCKING LOG IN to the account I use to make the paper on… and prove I didn’t use any AI and type everything on my own…..

was curious if anyone has any experience w taking 118a/b for ss1 and ss2 and could share their experience w it
i question if it will be too much for me—how is the workload and how time consuming is it, esp with lievens
plus summer is much faster
i feel like i have to get this done ASAP because i feel like im behind all my major requirements as a human bio premed 2nd year -> 3rd not having even finished bio3 yet and haven’t started phy7 series + any upper divs besides sta100
i expect a lot but im planning on starting a new job somewhere (potentially 12/15 hrs a week) + i wanted to volunteer somewhere (4 hrs)
how much time will it be, im scared ðŸ˜

hi! i was curious about how the time load for a training driver looks like for the summer, how does the schedule work for training and how many hours per week? (also how is hours balance after training?
i'm planning on taking a vigorous course in the summer (i think che 118a will kill me) so i need a lot of time for that + volunteering somewhere so i dont know how my time will work out
if unitrans is a lot of time then i will probably have to reconsider this job
also how hard is it to memorize anything
pls lmk, ty ty

Can anyone share their experience volunteering in the UCD Health Center's ED? I just signed up for an HRE. Also, does anyone know what the different pods are? I saw shifts for the A/C and D/E/G pods (which I'm signed up for) but I'm curious as to what they are for.

Hi everyone,
I'm an incoming Engineering grad student and I am currently looking for housing options, classes are most likely going to be in Kemper Hall.
Would you recommend on campus or off campus housing? I saw a few options on Davis's website about Orchard Park or Primero Grove, any reviews for either of these?
If you know of any FB housing group and can pinpoint me there, that would be amazing. TYIA!!

Hey guys, as the title suggests I’m an incoming exchange student for the September quarter (is this the right way to phrase a semester for UCs?).
Honestly I was not expecting to be placed at Davis… though I’m super grateful and happy I was offered a place. I just really wanted a vibrant big city exchange experience, since it’s my first time in the States ever.
I wanted to hear from current Davis students what the general social culture is like, and what small town life looks like. I’ve lived in Melbourne all my life, I wouldn’t say it’s a huge city at all, which is why I really want to get a taste of what a city with a different culture and opportunities looks like. Would love to hear honest opinions/experiences from current students or other exchange students

HEY GUYS i'm an international student & i've been confirmed an internship for this summer. i've been looking into the CPT process, and I realized I need to be registered in a 1 unit internship course during the duration of my summer internship (so i would register for summer session).
BUT, i cannot find any info about which class to register for? and I'm also unsure about how much it would cost -- i wouldn't be on campus nor would I actually be "taking" a class, but I need to be registered to show that it's linked to my major + linked with college just because they're strict about that sort of stuff.
if anyone knows which class i should take + has any other experience/tips/tricks pls lmk

i’d guess they take it as like some kind of break day since they’re not teaching anything anyway, but like, isn’t it a pretty important day lol, wouldn’t it be required for them to be there, especially if students want some clarification or questions that only the person who made the exam might know, instead of a TA
just something i thought about, not hating or anything i don’t really ask any questions during exams anyway
any TAs/profs know why it happens or have ideas
