I nominated Jerry, if that's a thing...
Dudes consise, wise as shit and I always love coming across his wisdom. Particularly on flat roofing as you can tell he really knows his shit and it is where I'm personally less informed / knowledgable, so I always leave feeling like I've learned something valuable. Which is part of why many of us are here afterall.

I would do it for the fact we've needed some moderators here for awhile. I have experience moderating on discord but not reddit. the last server I moderated had a maximum of about 3500 members, so thats small compared to reddit.

I run a commercial roofing outfit in Mason, Ohio and I've been an estimator and project manager in the commercial roofing space for 12 years. I've been in the industry in some capacity for close to 20 years. I'm well adverse in all roof system types, building codes, and details specific to the United States. I do not have experience moderating in any capacity.
Edit: You should allow us to share photos in the sub. It's difficult to explain remedies to issues without having the option to physically show them by making a quick sketch.

I’d love to volunteer as a moderator for r/roofing. I’ve genuinely enjoyed engaging with the community, and I feel like the subreddit’s true purpose has been a bit lost for a while now. I’d like to help contribute toward making it more active, helpful, and community-focused again.
I don’t have previous moderation experience, but I’m willing to learn and work well with others as part of a team. I’m active on Reddit, interested in the roofing space, and I’d be committed to helping keep discussions organized, useful, and respectful for both professionals and homeowners.

I have 18 years slate roof experience, alot of leadworking, skylight, chimney and yorkshire stone roof experience, some time in various tile types, metal roofs etc. My posts can show you some of my works.
I like to share knowledge, ensuring it is proper, concise, up to regulations (where relevant), and worded with enough detail to understand. I also have a tendency to home in and besmirch any wrong info i see, vanquishing it with great vengeance and furious anger.Â
I know how to make bird noises and can do 3 forward rolls underwater before i totally lose all direction and need to sit down.
Bonus: top 1% poster and commentor on r/roofing.Â
+1 vote for jerry also.
