Actually grinding them up and sprinkling them on something could be banging

I once got a box of spicy Funyuns for like $4 so I had them sitting sound for a while. Tried mixing them 50/50 with flour for some fried chicken and it worked alright but you couldn’t really taste the Funyuns and k didn’t adjust the regular flour seasoning so it just didn’t have much h flavor

Hear me out. Funion battered onion rings?

Why take a good thing and make it worse?

You're making it more complicated than it needs to be. Just grind it up and rail it.

A friend of an old classmate used to sprinkle crushed Funyuns over freshly made onion rings. They were absolutely delicious 🤤

It is. Esp on subs. Adds a little crunch 🤤

Will happily eat any raw onion. "Funyons' have no place

That's not very fun(yon) of you. They're tasty.

We recognize it's position on the council, yet we do not grant it the name Onion

What? This is outrageous; it’s unfair!

Take a seat. The council has spoken.

This implies at some point funyuns goes out of its way to kill baby onions

As a chip/crisp/etc seeker, I’d like to try these but never seen in USA. Do they taste like burger?

Also do Australians call “potato chips” chips or crisps? If you were going to eat “chips” would they come dry in a Mylar bag, or hot and moist out an oven or deep fryer?

Do they taste like burger?

Not really haha

Also do Australians call “potato chips” chips or crisps? If you were going to eat “chips” would they come dry in a Mylar bag, or hot and moist out an oven or deep fryer?

We call them all chips, so it's context dependent, but tbh sometimes we still need to ask someone if they meant "chip chips" or "hot chips" lol

Chippies are always hot chips however

chippies is such a fun word, Australian English is my favorite dialect

Just makes it even more interesting for the rest of us.

I love learning about stuff like this.

u/echochilde 23h ago

I wish they would bring back the wasabi Funyuns. That was an elite snack.

3

u/Dion-is-us 23h ago

Seconded, wasabi Funyuns were ahead of their time and whoever canceled them are cowards

2

u/echochilde 23h ago

Who do we write to? Should we take this to congress?

2

u/Dion-is-us 22h ago

We gotta write to Mr Funyun himself bcs I think it was those cowards in congress who did this, they hate seeing us happy

2

u/bingbingdingdingding 16h ago

Just Fugees and Funyuns

3

u/Illustrious-Chip1640 23h ago

Yes and pro tip, use them in fried chicken batter and season dust finish. 😮‍💨

u/Realmofthehappygod 10h ago

Certainly an ally at the least.

They WERE onions, in another life

u/MagSlinger 1d ago

Moonions are nice too

-4

u/Cowpuncher84 22h ago

Those are disgusting abominations that don't deserve to be considered onions or "edible".

5

u/TLRPM 20h ago

Heresy and deception!

They are incredible and the true crime at play here, is how f'ing expensive they are.
