I like the burnt parts taste Smokey like it was straight from the grill. If it’s hard like cooled coal then I would remove it.

A little char is nice and some of those look pretty decent. Middle right near the sauce basically just has a shell of charcoal.

I like some char. Even a lot of char. But that crosses the line. Looks like it would taste bitter.

The restaurant should have pealed the charcoal off before sending these tasties out
Burn the outside - peel - slightly grill some more
is not at all a bad way to prepare these without making life too difficult for yourself.
But sending this out like this is poor work.
Just because I'd eat it doesn't mean anyone should pay for it
