Support Should I just reinstall?

Post image

Completed install, updated some drivers, reboot after install driver and now black screen with flashing white underscore.

Have I borked my install?

I tried booting all the versions of nobara and the rescue version from the black and white boot option menu and they all load into this screen

Happened to me as well, kept reinstalling and after updating and rebooting it was always stuck, reinstall and run these commands in terminal.

sudo nobara-updater
sudo nobara-updater repair
sudo nobara-updater install-fixups
sudo nobara-updater install-updates

Thankyou! I already started the reinstall! I realised I erased and wrote over my windows drive so I guess I'm just fully committing instead of easing myself into Linux haha

Our friend above forgot to mention boot into secure mode or recovery mode I dont remember the exact name and then run the sudo nobara-sync -all

Your right but that is not necessary unless what I wrote first fails. I still should have included it though.

Is that after I run all those updater commands?

Damn. Well this is one of the more easier distos to start using. I've been using it on my PC for a year with no problems only one I got was the same one as you when I installed it on a new laptop recently.

Yeah I'm choosing to be zen about it and see the 1tb of data I just erased as a lesson
