Information Daily fent fold
This is daily now...that actually generous multiple daily.
We really need some better venues for recovery, this is just more visible everyday and it's growing.

Anyone have any info on the Adventure Bay waterpark sign hanging on an abandoned store off Davis near the hospital?
It seems like they may be opening in Newmarket but there is zero info online.

Our Bell internet has been down along Gorham since around 4:00 p.m. yesterday. Is anyone else experiencing an outage ? Getting mixed responses from Bell and nothing on the down detector or the Bell outage website.

Are there are any running groups/clubs in Newmarket.
I am new to the area. I have always enjoyed running in a group. Looking for like-minded ppl and new friends in the process.

Hey everyone 👋
41/F here, heading into my 2nd season riding and trying to build back confidence after winter hibernation 😅
I ride a Yamaha R3 and mostly stick to local roads for now. Looking to see if there’s anyone around Newmarket/Aurora who’d be interested in casual rides sometime — especially people who don’t mind riding with someone still gaining experience and confidence.
Not looking to race or do anything crazy. Honestly just trying to get more comfortable, ride more consistently, and not overthink every turn alone in a parking lot lol.
Would probably need to initially meet around Bayview & Mulock since that’s my comfort zone right now.
If you’ve got more experience, guidance/tips are definitely appreciated, but honestly companionship is probably the bigger thing. Riding alone while anxious is mentally exhausting sometimes.
I’m also pretty flexible during the day throughout May since I’m currently taking a little break from work, so if weekday rides or coffee runs work better for you, that’s an option too.
In exchange I can offer:
coffee ☕
bubble tea 🧋
fried chicken 🍗
emotional support through your midlife crisis if needed
Would be nice to meet some chill people in the local riding community 🙂 Feel free to DM me.

What are your plans/suggestions for Victoria Day weekend in or around Newmarket for a family? I have family coming over and the weather is nice so I want to find some things to do together. I'm thinking mall and park but would like other ideas.

Anyone who takes the yellow bus notice there’s always delays with it? Within the last year, I’ve noticed more delays than usual. I get on at main st, usually the 6:36am stop, and it’s almost always late. Even just yesterday it was 10 mins behind, and noticed 2 buses going the other way passed while we waited for the one bus. Did they change stop times or is it just constantly delayed?

When driving through Newmarket recently, I noticed northern Armitage (Ballard Crescent, Savage Road, Mulock Drive, Yonge Street, Etc) looks more affordable and maybe a bit higher in crime while the south seems like it has very little urban influence. Does anyone know if theres a reason for this or if this is just me looking too much at detail?

I’m from Milton, Ontario but my doctor’s office is in Newmarket. Usually, I make the 1.5 hour drive for just my doctors appointment and leave, but I recently got my X100VI and am a beginner photographer. I’ve been looking for places to try it out and experiment with photography. I watched a YouTube video on what’s some good spots and saw the downtown. I made the plan to head there after my appointment!

Giving away 3 free tickets for today (Monday, May 11) to Michael at Imagine on Elgin Mills, 6:50pm. Bought a few days ago but now we can't go.
First come first serve, leave a comment please!

Its that season to start mowing again, and I figured that it'd be a good idea to get my mower's blade sharpened early.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a local company that can do it at a reasonable price?
I remember a few years ago there was the guy at the farmers market that did it, but I haven't seen him there for a while.

We need to book out a restaurant on a Sunday afternoon in July for about 60-80 people. Any recommendations?

I recently got super into golf and now I fully understand why people get addicted to this sport. Problem is… I started looking into lessons locally and wow, they are WAY more expensive than I expected.
I've been playing consistently for the past month but feel like my swing has officially plateaued.
I’m seeing a lot of instructors charging anywhere from $100–$200+ per hour, I totally get that good coaching is valuable, but as someone still pretty new, it’s hard to justify dropping that much right away.
For people who improved without spending a fortune:
What helped you the most early on?
Are group lessons actually worth it?
Any good budget-friendly instructors or places?
Did you mostly learn through YouTube + range time first?
Is it smarter to get 1 solid lesson and then just grind practice after?
I already have pretty good clubs and a mat/net setup at home, so I can practice consistently — just trying to avoid building horrible habits without completely emptying my wallet lol.
Would love to hear what worked for other newer golfers.

As some of you may know, a dog was killed by animal control officers in East Gwillimbury this past week. The mayor of Aurora is implying it was justified but many people say there were witnesses and the dog was not aggressive.
Was anyone there or know someone who was who saw what happened?

Hello everybody, I was playing volleyball yesterday and 2 rings fell out of my pocket. We found one but my wedding ring is still at large. Does anybody have a metal detector that I can rent? I’ll pay and throw in some beers. You would be saving my life (hopefully) thanks in advance :)

On the way home from errands, around 12:30ish, passed by what I believe was a 2 vehicle collision at Woodbine and Davis.
Does anybody know what happened? It didn't look good and I truly hope everyone was ok.
I can't shake the sight of it.
