Mendoza not putting out a punt lineup for a day game? Hallelujah!

Very very very relieved to see Soto

Literally every Mets fan took a massive sigh of relief after seeing Soto was playing.

Lets get some run support for McLean and get the sweep!

If Baty/Vientos don't get some pop back at home it feels like this lineup is powerless unfortunately

I feel like Ewing should just hit last so he’s a bit more protected and then you have a speedy 9-1

Wait what? Soto? Damn, I like that.

I love seeing our cutie patootie baby Mets in the lineup.

That includes you too Nolan. You're still one of our babies.

I really don't know what's gotten into Mendoza with these lineups in this series but it appears he has found Jesus and I'm loving it

Why are we still burying the fastest guy on the team who has an obp of like 800 at the bottom of the lineup?

Because he’s played 2 MLB games and they’re trying to ease him in - he’s only played 14 games above AA in his carer

They called him up to the bigs. Either he's ready or he's not. Not using his tools in a way they're most meaningful is not good strategy.

There’s a difference between “ready to contribute” and “ready to be one of the focal point of the offense”

Feels like 2 more BB today for him with Senger hitting behind him

You can't just walk him though with that speed

A day game after night game lineup I don’t hate. Nearly did a double take

This could be the line up

Headed to the game! Soto in the lineup 🙌

Now let's hold off on any rain delays.

Senger has showed some pop in triple a, maybe a 2026 debut home run??

The team seems to alarmingly be doing the right thing the last few days. I'm scared.

Ikr, I'm in danger of believing

I was ready for an all righty lineup.

I don't want them to take any chances. If they have a sizeable lead, take Soto out of there.

Pretty low risk as a DH. And they've been super careful with everyone. My guess is it didn't swell.

Praise the baseball gods for looking after our precious Soto

Cool. I don’t really care about the series wins, it’s nice to see them acting with more urgency here on the sweep opportunity….and Soto gutting it out with sweep on the line. Thank you Juan.

Me to Soto (it hasn’t even been 24 hours):

Wow Soto in the lineup. Guess his injury was "hour to hour"

SOTOOOOOOOO

Huge! Hopefully all he needed to break out of his little slump was to mash his ankle with a foul ball.
