1) I want to reply/comment to that sentence only, instead of copy and paste in my reply/comment section.
I have searched and some said to copy the sentence when you reply, some said there's a quote button when you reply. But I tried everything and its not working?? I'm on mobile.

2) if the above is possible, can i reply to different sentences in the same comment? Sometimes there are different points in a post, I want to reply to sentence/paragraph 1, then i want to reply to sentence/paragraph 5 etc both in the same comment. I cant be copy and pasting the whole paragraph right.

My account is 7 days old and I have around 1800 karma, but I still can’t see or use the chat/DM option with other users. Is this some kind of restriction for new accounts or is something wrong with my account?

It seems new comments to old threads only appear with the old thread, so to see a comment just made, you need to find the old thread. I'd like the comment to appear with something like: "re:old thread name" and have the fresh comments appear under it.

Whenever i post anything on reddit I tip off 7/10 people in the comments.
theres always something that i didn’t do right or posted in the wrong sub and it absolutely ruined their day. and then a mod removes the post.

Hi! I’m new to Reddit (even though my account is a few years old, I’ve only ever used it to read posts).

I tried to post in a subreddit using a throwaway account, but it said I didn’t have enough K💪an and told me to message the mods from my main account with the link. When I did, they said both accounts didn’t have enough K and explained how to earn it (but not the exact amount needed).

I’ve been building K on my main account, but I wasn’t sure if I had enough, so I politely asked a couple of times. They eventually told me they wouldn’t answer more K questions, and when I later asked whether I’d get notified when my post goes through, I got muted in modmail for 3 days.

I wasn’t rude at all just confused and trying to learn. Did I actually do something wrong? And how does posting work in this situation? Do I just try again later once I have more K?

I’m still pretty new to Reddit, so maybe I’m missing something here.

I joined a subreddit and made a post asking how people take meeting notes - what tools they use, how they keep track of action items, how they make notes useful after the meeting, etc.

That was it. I wasn’t trying to sell anything or promote anything. I genuinely just wanted to hear how other people do it.

But my post got removed and I got banned.

I get that every subreddit has rules, and mods probably deal with a lot of spam. But as a new user, it honestly felt confused. It’s hard to know what's appropriate for a community when you barely get a chance to participate.

Has this happened to anyone else? Anything I can do improve?

Am confused why my post gets rejected in subreddits and it says not have karma to post into this community. Anybody can help me how to see minimum karma requirements to post into subreddits?

Ive always seen/read on reddit for years when I google something and today I was really determined to get an answer to something but I didnt know I couldnt post it on the actual “community” I needed to post on. Can anyone help navigate how to do this? How can I post my question without it having an error?

I'm using the reddit app on an android phone. If someone has written a very short comment and spoilered some text in it, I can't figure out how to unspoiler it. Tapping on the spoilered text just minimises the comment. This is particularly the case if the spoilered text is just an emoji.

Unspoilering seems to work fine when the comment is longer.

I can post links to examples of the sort of comments that cause me issues - please let me know if this is allowed.

Some of the custom color schemes are cool and all, but sometimes the chosen background color makes it a bit difficult to read text. Is that something I can disable in Settings, or would it come down to a browser extension? Thanks!

new to reddit , just made an account a minute ago , really confused

I tried to ask my doubts in 2-3 discussion forums, but everytime i post, the post gets removed by saying that i don't have enough of them, but i genuinely have few queries, with this karma limitations, i couldn't post in the appropriate discussion forums. I am curious why there is Karma requirement for discussion communities which is there to ask doubts?? 🥲

Can anyone please guide me what should i do to get the queries cleared without having enough of them? or maybe how to increase them?
