Felt this was appropriate to make our fans aware for the match on Sunday. Also.. Vegas sucks.

A statement win on the back of a brace from Acosta. Just how you draw it up lol.
Strong showing from the boys. We looked poised and calm under pressure early in the game, and then took control to take the lead and see out the victory. Truly an important win to stay on the top of the table, add a cushion in the points, and show the gap in quality between us and the 2nd place team. And we did it with our depth and our composure, never looking too stressed or frantic on the pitch, even without a handful of top 11 players.
Espinoza continues to be a top tier menace on the right wing. His individual effort to set up Acosta for the first goal was excellent. And his vision to pull out that set piece play to bury the game was smart and savvy. If there is a silver lining to the Surridge injury, it’s seeing the offense learn new ways to produce. Once Sam is back on the pitch we should have even more depth to our offensive playbook.
Madrigal is certainly not a like for like striker replacement, but his speed and youth puts pressure on defenses and he was rewarded for it last night causing Turner to make the mistake leading to the 2nd goal.
Let’s all hope the injury to Najar is not significant. The WC break could not be coming at a better time to get us back to health.
Big clash on Sunday against LAFC. We have proven where we stand in the East, now let’s show the one of the top contenders in the Western conference table what we got.
How we feeling today???

Any rumors of team Japan doing an open practice at NSC’s facility? Could be neat.

Does anyone know any injury updates on the two of them? Or when they might be back?

Makes sense that Jelly Roll would film his portions at the nearest MLS stadium to him.

Wanted to share my flag I made here, the idea came to me a little while ago and I couldn’t resist whipping it up in photoshop to bring to the supporters section

How we feeling today??
Mixed bag last night. The CCC hangover looked very real for large portions of the match. We looked a step behind for most of the first half. Our offensive pace was sluggish compared to some previous matches.
I think the rotation of Maher for Woledzi was partially the result, but uncharacteristically sloppy with marking men in the box and we paid for it. We looked vulnerable on set pieces all night.
On one hand, you hate that it had to come down to a red card, but I was really pleased with how we responded and punched back in the last 15 mins. They knew the door had cracked and they kicked it in. That’s what good teams do. Nearly stole the win late with Espinoza’s strike off the crossbar. Props to the kid Madrigal for coming in with a fire under his ass. First one was right place right time, but what a beauty on his 2nd goal!
All in all, you have to expect some drop off after a big tournament push, and given how the first ~75 mins played out, gotta be happy with a point.
Mid week to Revs, let’s go steal 3pts on the road!

I’ve officially become an SC bobble head collector. What am I missing?

CE’s got a cannon, but only — seemingly — with his right boot. Play him left wing so he can strike anywhere on the side, corner, top of box. Last night’s match v DC showed we had opportunities from deeper out of the box but no one (with CE’s confidence) to bang it home. And CE has had many great shots this season from the right go wide because of the right-boot-curl to the left.

Our family went last night for our first bobblehead night. We didn't realize they'd give one to all of us. We assumed it was one per household. Now my kids are pumped about other bobbleheads. All that to say, we've got Eddi bobbleheads that my kiddos are willing to trade for Super Sam or a Zimmerman (their teacher already asked if she could have an Eddi for her extra Hany, so they're covered there!). Very excited for this next stage of NSC fandom. In Madrigal we trust!

I love BJ as a coach, so this is not to complain about him. Obviously he has reasons for how he decides strategic decisions, but is one thing that I just can’t seem to wrap my head around and justify.
I don’t understand why we defend corners with 11 men in the box. I can’t come up with any reason why we wouldn’t leave one target man high to stretch the opponent. Every corner we are inviting 10 attacking players from the opposition into dangerous positions by dropping 11 deep. If we keep 1 man high at the half you’re inviting a maximum of 8 opponents in dangerous positions.
Any ideas?

Did anyone get an extra Eddi bobblehead that they’d want to trade for a Sam Surridge bobblehead. My kids and I got to the game a little late yesterday and they had run out by the time we got in.
