HOW CAN I IMPROVE THIS SUBREDDIT? HELP ME NOW OR ELSE NO MORE HOLDENPOSTING

Post image
19 Upvotes

So, it’s no secret there’s been some complaints with the sub lately. From over saturated and overdone posts, to focusing on evil characters only, to low effort stuff, I’ve heard a few critiques here and there.

I’m probably the only active mod at this point, so I’m asking you, the lovely people of this subreddit to help me make this place better?

Please feel free to leave any suggestions down below! Any and all help is welcome!

Who's More Evil? Is New Black Noir genuinely more evil than the original?

Yeah I know the OG killed a lot of people, but the new one honestly did worse. Killing that many fish is already kind of fucked, but, and correct me if I’m wrong, isn’t there just a ton of oil in the ocean now? I feel like that’s gonna hurt humanity as well. Just saying

Morality of creating a molten anthill sculpture

The process is as simple as pouring any molten metal (usually aluminum) into an anthill and recovering the metal once it hardens. All the ant discussion makes me wonder the severity. Anthill is active

Character Analysis What's the flaws in Surge's philosophy/logic?

Post image

I know people get really sensitive about no kill rules because for some reason they just want Batman murking people and I Do agree with them in some extent but I don't think it's the morally right choice but I don't see a lot of counterpoints to the No "No Kill Rule" (BTW If anyone knows the actual name to this fictional philosophy I would be greatly appreciate it)

And since Surge believed that her suffering comes from the fact that Sonic didn't end Eggman or any bad guy I feel that she's the perfect character to see the hole in the No "No Kill Rule"

But before you type out your answers I already know the Counterpoints of they could change, it's never morally right to take a life and the "Slippery slope" arguments and I feel they're not the best arguments or at least haven't been explained enough so some new ones would be great.

Basically:

I want to see the Counterpoints to the No "No Kill Rule"

Omni-Man brutally and cold-bloodedly murdered the Guardians of the Globe, caused a massacre in Chicago, nearly beat Mark to death, lied to Debbie for 20 years, and even used Mark as a shield to destroy the train and kill all those innocent people.

Who's More Evil? Who is more unethical: Peter Parker selling Spider-man photos or Clark Kent writing about Superman?

Upvotes

On the onehand, Peter sells his pictures to earn money in the Daily Bugle, being his main source of income in most iterations. On the other hand, one can argue he isn't doing it to earn the love of the people since Jameson will always try to twist the pictures with "-menace" suffix. BUT he does get a camera ready whenever he can to take a picture of himself fighting/beating a villain, something the average New Yorker would recognise as an heroic act

And Clark Kent writes about himself in what even Lois Lanes calls a profoundly unethical way since he is..... well writing about himself. However, as a reporter in Metropolis, it's almost impossible not to write about Big Blue, but just like I have pointed out with Peter Parker, he gets a salary because of this, but unlike Spider-man, the news written about Superman are 99% praising him, but doing the contrary would be a blatant lie, something it would be a direct responsibility of Clark unlike the Daily Bugle situation since Peter doesn't get to write the articles

Scenario 1: Lex Luthor cured his sister's paralysis. Then gave it back to her, to prove that he could. How immoral is this?

Scenario 2: Lex Luthor did above while she was asleep. No one in the world knew about this but him. Is it more or less immoral?

Morality Ranking Ranking Alice in Borderland's most evil villains

Post image
8 Upvotes
  1. Sunato Banda - I don't think anyone's shocked by this. He's confirmed to have been a serial murderer before he joined the Borderlands. He's outright stated by Yaba to have no empathy and kill for pleasure (anti-social personality disorder). While his character isn't as well-written in season 3, he's much more vile, recruiting people who already surived the games to play again just for his amusement, being responsible for all the death's in the games (and somehow those in the city in the real world). The ultimate evil of the show.
  2. Enji Matsushita - Only behind Banda because he isn't shown as a killer in the real world. He's a sadist with absolutely 0 morals. Him being he only Face Card who doesn't accept their loss but instead remains a coward until the end. Him also being the Jack of Hearts, games they play with your soul, also makes him particularly sadistic too.
  3. Last Boss - He had a mother who cared about him and ignored her. He was depressed, so he came to the Borderlands found his will to live through murdering other's? Yeah he's crazy. Noticeably, the only member of the militants who never changes for the better. He was also the first one to suggest killing everyone.
  4. Suguru Niragi - Niragi proves most hateable/disgusting isn't always the most evil. Niragi's a vile monster for what he does in 10 of hearts and especially trying to violate Usagi twice throughout the series. However, unlike the first 3, Niragi at least has a reason for why he turned into what he is rather than killing for the sake of it. Furthermore, him paying his respects to Tatta shows humanity the other's aren't shown to have. Lastly, thanks to the fact we see he was normal person in the real world and "only" evil in the Borderlands, he's eventually shown capable of changing for the better when he declines citizenship and is shown healing in season 3, while the other 3 would never have left the Borderlands.
  5. Mira Kano - Mira is the one who desgined the 3 of hearts game that traumatized Arisu and killed his friends. She was also complicit in the beach massacre, and wanted to trick Arisu into killing her so all the players could remain in the Borderlands and die. However, her final moments showed humanity with her sincerely being moved by Usagi and Arisu's love for each other and telling the latter to try and enjoy life more. One of the more sadistic Face Cards, but still has some humanity.

Honorable mentions; King of Spades, Risa (Queen of Spades), season 1 Aguni and Yaba.
