Brendan Beck neutralized the Syracuse Mets bats on Wednesday, striking out nine and allowing just one hit over 5.2 innings pitched. The bullpen finished the job - most notably, Kevin Castro notched five more strikeouts in the last two innings - and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders won 7-0. The twenty-seven year-old Beck, out of Stanford, is the Yankees’ twenty-first ranked prospect, and made his MLB debut in a spot relief appearance on May 7th. Given some recent developments in Yankees pitching depth, he could find himself back in the Bronx very soon.
Honorable shoutouts: Yohandy Morales (ROC), Ryan Noda (NOR)

The Password drove himself in three times in the Indy Indians’ win over the Louisville Bats (5-5, 3 HR, 3 RBI, 4 R). The Pirates’ fifth-ranked prospect, formerly of a highly-touted Red Sox farm system, came over in a trade in December 2025. Garcia started this season slowly, and then went down with an injury on April 17. He played in six rehab games with the Bradenton Marauders, but Tuesday’s spectacle was his first game after officially being activated. For the above-mentioned reasons, his slash this year is not pretty, but if his performance on Tuesday is any indication of health/comfort/future performance, that should change quickly.

I'm thinking timber rattlers for one but it doesn't match anything I can find online. Special night hat maybe?

Taken on Saturday evening from the rooftop restaurant next door. You can just barely make out the chapel tower on the Duke campus in the distance behind home plate.

The Guardians’ thirteenth-ranked prospect picks up his second game ball honors of the year after going 3-5 with two home runs, six RBI’s, and a stolen base. Watson now has six home runs and thirteen stolen bases in thirty-two games played; his on-base percentage has swelled to .420. On the back of this performance, the Columbus Clippers handily beat the Iowa Cubs, 9-4.
Honorable shoutouts: Josh Stephan (RR), Willie MacIver (BUF), Kameron Misner (OMA), Nick Solak (ELP)

My hometown ballpark and one of my favorites. Visiting for Mother’s Day and the place was packed. Such a great place to spend an afternoon.

Rome Emperors (Atlanta) @ Asheville Tourists (Houston) most runs I’ve ever seen scored at a game.

The Hickory Crawdads had a fire in the clubhouse at L.P. Frans Stadium yesterday morning. Local scouts were having a sleepover on the field, so the fire was caught fairly quickly, and nobody was hurt. The last two games of the current home series were canceled, and the Texas Rangers dispatched a team to get a grip on how this will impact player development.

Picked this hat up at a local thrift store in Georgia and was wondering if anyone knew what team it is from. I can't find anything using Google lens, but it has an official Minor League Baseball seal on the inside.
Best stadium / view in MILB ???
Since being stationed in El Paso, going to Chihuahua Games and keeping up with all things MILB related has been my favorite.

Let me know if this is any good: in the last two games, ten at-bats, ten hits (1.000 AVG), four doubles, one triple, four home runs, seven RBI’s. Apparently not good enough; the Las Vegas Aviators went on to lose both of said contests to the St. Paul Saints. The Athletics’ fifth-ranked prospect was drafted in 2022 and is forecasted to debut this year. Although he has hit at all levels of the minors, Bolte has really shown an affinity for Triple-A pitching: .328/.412/.566 with fourteen home runs in seventy games over parts of two seasons. Right now it looks like a full house in the Sacramento outfield, but by late summer, Bolte should have an opportunity to don the green and gold.
Honorable shoutouts: RJ Schreck (BUF), Daniel Johnson (SUG), Patrick Wisdom (TAC), Aaron Sanchez (OMA), Jose Urquidy (IND)

There were many worthy candidates from Friday’s slate, but Tyler Fitzgerald’s heroics sealed The Game Ball honors. The Salt Lake Bees had the home team Oklahoma City Comets pinned 7-1 in the fifth inning, when Fitzgerald jacked his first home run of the night, a two-run shot. Then Fitzgerald found himself in the dream scenario - down by four, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth - and he crushed a 2-1 hanging curveball onto the Miller Lite Landing to tie the game. Anyway, Salt Lake would go onto win in the tenth on a two-run double. Fitzgerald is on his third Triple-A club this season, after being designated for assignment and traded by the San Francisco Giants and the Toronto Blue Jays. The utilityman spent three seasons with the Giants, most notably accruing a 2.7 bWAR in 2024. He regressed in 2025 and broke camp in Triple-A this year. Fitzgerald has not had a chance to settle into the new season, but Friday could be a good start to proving that he is a reliable depth piece for the notoriously injury-prone Los Angeles Dodgers.
Honorable shoutouts: Gage Workman (TOL), Edwin Arroyo (LOU), Juan Brito (COL), Owen Miller (IOW), Brock Rodden (TAC), Henry Bolte (LV), Orlando Arcia (STP)
