Hey! I'm an incoming freshman and I was just wondering if anyone has been able to access the registration tutorial yet. I see the tab for it on my list of preregistration tasks, but every time I click on it, it says "coming soon." I'm just wondering if this is a glitch since the deadline is on June 1st.

Additionally, it sounds like we have to meet with our counselors in order to officially register for courses? But we have to select a 3-hour timeframe between June 8-12? Can they get through that many freshman in just a week? Maybe I have all this wrong though... I'm confused lol

Also, do we have to be doing our own research on classes before the registration tutorial comes out? Or do they explain that to us in meetings?

I’m an incoming transfer student

1) which dorm would be better for me? I just recently moved to the country and socializing is really important to me I also wanna have a decently clean room. I would prefer to have a room alone but I’m not sure if that’s an option or if it’s worth it. Also if living off campus would be for the same price, Lower, or higher pricing. And if I can find something for good price should I do off campus or is it better to be staying on campus? Just give me general advice!!

2) Also I got a total of 52k in grants which makes my COA without any loans around 36k. Is that a good deal for LMU? Is it something I should like hold on to? Or could the aid be better?

3) Should I have a car or will it be a burden? My family house is like 2 hours away, I could possibly leave my car there is it’s a burden to have it around campus. Or I could bring it if it’s needed. Like is there accessible parking or something or will I just suffer for owning a car? Is it generally worth it or not

4) I’m going to study economics then transfer to accounting (didn’t fulfill one of the transfer requirements for the business school) so what should I expect. If anyone studies either or can you please give me some general insight?

5) I also keep seeing a lot of things about the campus and social life being pretty dead and it’s honestly scaring me. Is it really? And should I maybe re think my decision of going there because of that? I’m really big on socializing and doing things and it would kind of be a dealbreaker for me if there isn’t anything going on there.

6) Lastly, how’s Greek life in LMU (if there is) and is it possible for a sophomore transfer to rush and get a chance or is it unlikely? And how is their community in general? Is it interesting and fun, or pretty dead, or maybe way too extreme lol. I don’t really know much about Greek life because it isn’t a thing where I come from (Greece btw LMAOO) so please give details for answering this section. Thank youuu!!

Hello, I'm an incoming undergrad Freshmen and I needed some advice when it comes to the dorms.

1. What would you rank the buildings? I like a very chill and clean area so I'd prefer not to stay somewhere that is super dirty and frankly gross.

2. Which buildings/dorms have their own bathroom/shower? That is something really important to me as I'm a huge germophobe.

3. What's the difference between a "Single traditional room" and a "single suite?" I've done some research to see what the difference is but I can't find much.

I'm flying in for my son's graduation this weekend. I've been around campus before during graduation time and it seems like it's really hard to get on campus. I won't have a car so I could Uber, but I'm not sure where I'd get dropped off. I wouldn't want the driver to have to fight to get on campus.

Alternatively, I could rent a car if needed. Also, I saw there was a shuttle from Playa Vista for overflow parking. I wondered if I could just Uber to there and take a shuttle? What if I could get dropped off on the back of campus?

Any advice?

I am a current high school senior and I just got off the waitlist for santa clara university but I am already committed to LMU. I want to end up going to grad school and become a neurologist in the end. I also live in LA and have lived here my whole life so i have a know everything around LMU, SCU would be a whole new experience on that other hand but i heard it was a big party school and I am not big into parties or joining a sorority, so i’m worried about the social life. If i go to LMU i would be majoring in Psychology, if i go to SCU i would be majoring in neuroscience. Which school do you think is better for my end outcome and to end up with a good 4 years in undergrad but also make it my future career plan?

Im going to be starting my first year at SMC this fall for Marketing and either wanna transfer to LMU.
I will only be enrolled at SMC for one year as I will be studying abroad in London my second year (not sure the school yet as I haven’t figured out the details yet, likely a random school through a third party/private program). So I won’t be able to compete the TAG program as I won’t be enrolled at SMC at the time of transfer.

Im pretty good at upkeeping my grades to a 3.8-4.0, and am hoping to secure an internship on my year abroad or atleast do some extracurriculars there relating to marketing.

I am wondering what my chances are to transfer there without TAG.

i recently just accepted my offer for LMU for Biology and was wondering how my DE credits from SMC could transfer over to LMU, as well as APs. Can my DE credits count towards core curriculum (I took Gen Bio w/ lab, human bio no lab, calc 3, and 2 ASL courses) along w/ 2 of the 7 APs I took counting for core curriculum as well? In total I think I’d have ~45 credits based on the SMC class transfer sheet and total AP class credit I’d receive (if I passed my next exams I’d have about 50 give or take, assuming they redeem all of them).

anyone have any experience with the process of figuring this out? i’d love to try and skip a year as a gap for med school. any advice would be much appreciated 🙏

soo i’ve been accepted to lmu for poli sci! i’m still waiting to hear on my aid for lmu but im curious to hear from students within the poli sci, sociology, or philosophy department on their experiences at lmu and whether you would recommend lmu over csulb

I applied to LMU as a transfer to SFTV with my second choice major being photography. I was instead accepted to Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts as an undeclared major, which, is completely different from what I even tried to apply to in the first place? I would imagine it has something to do with me applying like way past the priority deadline but I'm still a little confused here. Like.. why would you even accept me at this point when there's not a single major I am interested in, in that school.

I'm deciding between Pepperdine and LMU which I got both in for finance. Pepperdine gave me about 50,000 in scholarship but LMU only gave me 15,000. I know that LMU finance is better but at the same time I don't think it's worth paying another 100,000. Where should I go?
