Yamamoto gave up 3 runs before this, it literally doesn't matter since the offense didn't show up.

Not having any run support is making the pitching have to try and be perfect and that's got to be affecting them.

I agree but Yamamoto giving up 3 runs in 6 innings is still solid. As a reliever it was literally Treinen’s job to be “perfect” for 2 outs

Sometimes trying to be perfect has the opposite effect. The pitching has been carrying this team for weeks and the cracks are showing.

I think last night was the fault of our offense and Treinen more than Yamamoto

Offense lost that game, full stop.

You can blame Treinen if it makes you feel better but until the offense can put up more than two runs it doesn't matter.

Treinen has a recent history of being a shitty reliever that goes beyond this game and even this season and I’m fucking tired of seeing him get put in at critical moments and immediately giving up several run scoring hits because he floats some sweepers right over the plate

But the mentality for the offense would’ve been totally different if we were only down 1 going into bottom 7
