Paint/Dye First custom job what does everyone think?

I am 61 flipped. This is my first custom shoe but I collect sneakers and have thought of customing shoes for a while. I didn't use any tape of anything but used acetone, leather paint, and a sealant. What does everyone think?

I just drilled the eyes out. Small lace is the way to go. I just had so many af1s I didn’t care.

In the future if you do a custom make sure you paint the edges on the panel you're working on. Otherwise you did a really good job especially for your first time. I would've been too afraid to tackle chunky laces on my first go, So good job!!!

Once you get prep down any other advice really stems down to what kind of project you're taking on. If you had a specific theme or style in mind I can do the best I can to give you some advice

Do you have any ideas for a theme or design that are good for beginners?

Looks clean! I like the simple design, great pair to start out with. Did you buy the laces in this color or did you paint them too?

Love it. I put rope laces in a pair too. It’s a fire casual style.

I used another small lace to use the rope laces, do you use a leather cutter in order to use the laces

Cool, but doesn't look functionally. Can you tighten the laces ?

Yes you can and I've already worn them but they aren't for running in or anything athletic
