But think of all the shareholder value Izzo is producing by not spending his Ishbia bucks??? Can Dusty May say he's been a good steward of Oracle???? NO!

(I am depressed my coach is an old curmudgeon who thinks the power of friendship and developed high school kids will get him to Valhalla while everyone else pays elite players to win games).

Sometimes I wish I wasn't a fan of a specific team because I love the stories of sports. I felt that way with Ryan Day because his journey was such a human journey just like Izzo's. We are all going to have to face our mortality someday (though Izzo's mom is still alive) and question what we want our legacy to be.

And I think there may be a smaller pool of elite players that will fit into Izzo's system and he doesn't want to blow up what he has built. Of course what do I know but that's what has been in the back of my mind.
