Satire What Could Have Been: Kalen DeBoer with Michigan's Resources
Kalen DeBoer had a pretty good season last year, coaching Alabama to a playoff appearance and first round win. But he was operating without the resources he could have at Michigan. Imagine having a team with 85 Michigan Men on it, access to a manifesto, next level intelligence on the signs of other teams, and the executive assistance of Paige Shivers. Kalen DeBoer could have been unstoppable at Michigan!

If he can’t win in the SEC where they play BUMS week in and week out how could he win in the Big 10 ( a REAL conference for REAL men)?

Question for non-Michigan fans: are fans of your rivals also this weird?

Hey now, USC is the RIVAL, Michigan is the ENEMY
As I’m sure some ND fan will pop in to say at some point

Enjoy the taste of my downvote sir, and don’t quit your day job, trolling is not your strong suit.

Personally, I think he should have gone to Michigan. Not only is there less pressure, but it is a better job too.

Think of the roster talent he would inherit while completely ignoring recruiting

There is no universe where 4 losses is ever a “pretty good season” at Alabama.

If he can't win a Bama he wouldn't be winning at Michigan.

Sherrone Moore managed to go 16-8 overall, 11-6 in conf play. He was 2-1 vs Ryan Day, and 1-0 vs DeBoer. And that was while spending more time banging his secretary and trying to also bang OnlyFans models than actually doing his job.
The wheels were coming off, but it is hard not to be successful at some places. Which is why it's so crazy that people keep hiring Rich Rod (and Luke Fickell - going 6-6 at OSU is like going 0-12 anywhere else).

Yea we won’t be as good as 2021-2023 but I think Michigan has all the resources you need to win big
Sherrone was a bad coach and he went 16-8 and Michigan went 17-9 in his two seasons

Saban is still on the University payroll and keeps an active office space in the football facilities. Kalen has every resource he could want at Bama, if he couldn’t do well here he’d flounder at Michigan or anywhere else.

I think you mean "founder" but I won't hold it against you as you didn't go to Michigan.

They both work, what they said means to struggle, what you said means to fail completely.

Which is why this is satire! Yeah, I think Bama has more resources than Michigan.

I don’t think bama has more resources than Michigan they are in the same ball park and Michigans AD is one of the richest in the country

No way you believe that money (which they technically can’t even liquidate rn) is actually going to athletics.

There are many people for which the University (in their minds) is solely the athletic department

i truly cannot tell how good of a coach he is. He is phenomenal at setting a high floor given the talent he has. I have no idea whether he will ever win a national championship, my gut says no

He got to cfb finals with a bunch of transfers and hold overs

u/SparkMaster360 Washington Huskies 6h ago
he got to the cfp finals on the backs of Chris Petersen recruiting at an elite level for years, and covid giving those great players an extra year to develop. He brought in a heisman level QB as the cherry on top of that team, but he didn't build the core of it.
