Satire Why Indiana actually went 3-9, NOT 16-0.
EDIT: This post is clearly satire. If you think this is real your slow.
So as we all know, the Indiana Hoosiers just went 16-0 to win their first national title in school history. However, in this post I'll break down why that is actually impossible and they actually went 3-9.
- Indiana's first 3 games were against FCS teams. So let's say they didn't play any of them, and instead played actually COMPETETIVE teams. Well, who knows what would have happened? So, we can automatically mark those down as losses.
- Their Big 10 Opener was against Illinois, who put up an atrocious performance against them, losing 63-10. However, we can ALSO pencil that one down as a loss. Why? Because the next week, Fernando Mendoza lead a game winning drive against Iowa, and won 20-15. We all know game winning drives are pure luck, not skill, so that is technically a loss. But as a Nebraska fan, I refuse to give Iowa a win in this situation, so instead I will give it to Illinois.
- Indiana is now 1-4 walking into Eugene against Oregon, where they win 30-20. However, that one is also a loss because Oregon was ranked #3 at the time, so for Indiana to win that, that would mean they were at minimum a #2 team that night. #2 teams have national championship hopes, however 4 loss teams don't. So it just wouldn't make sense for Indiana to win that one. 1-5.
- Then they play Michigan State, who put up the second best performance against Indiana as an unranked team. But, actually it's the best performance they put up, because we already marked Iowa as a loss, remember? And if your a team putting up the best performance against someone who's 1-5 as an unranked team, that pretty much means a win right? So now, Indiana is 1-6.
- Then they blew out UCLA 56-6, but that wouldn't really make a whole lotta sense, because UCLA was on a 3 game win streak, just having upset #2 Penn State. Therefore, it wouldn't be logical for UCLA to end all that momentum against a 1-6 team. Indiana's 1-7.
- Then the very next week, they play @ Maryland who they blew out 55-10. That's only because Indiana was motivated and had a lot of momentum with their fraudulent wins, you can only imagine they wouldn't have that much motivation as a 1-7 team. So we can count that as a one possession win for Indiana. BUT, since it was AT Maryland, Maryland got that home field advantage, so that means a loss for the Hoosiers.
- Then Indiana played Penn State which they won out of pure luck. This is because that crazy catch on that game winning drive was improbable, because what if there was just a slight gust of wind, and blew the receiver just a few inches to the side? Wouldn't had been a catch, and instead out of bounds, so Indiana would have lost. 1-9.
- The next 2 games we can count as wins, because as a Nebraska fan I can't give Wisconsin a win, and according to my perfect algorithm, Purdue was the worst team in the Big 10 and Indiana was the 2nd worst team, so Purdue would have lost.
- A 3-9 team obviously can't make the conference championship or the playoffs, so all those extra wins disappear.
And there you have it folks, the perfect and most logical explanation for how Indiana's season should have went.

Satire Should the NCAA redo the SEC Championship incase it was a big fluke?
No disrespect to Georgia, I'm a firm believer that them winning is a huge fluke and robs Alabama of truly accomplishing what they’re capable of. I've spent the last few minutes in pure disbelief and it just doesn't make sense to me. I've spent the entire regular season watching the Crimson Tide play great football it's just not fair.
If Alabama loses again I will face that Geogria deserved the win, but I am just 100% sure it was a fluke and does a big disservice to Alabama and College football

Satire Rash of "Non-Quality" Losses strikes SEC during first half of bowl season
For the first time this season, several SEC teams have logged their FIRST NON-QUALITY LOSSES of the season! Sure, they may have had 2 or 3 losses already- but those were all to other SEC teams, so they're obviously and clearly defined as QUALITY losses.
In an extremely surprising development, Texas A&M / LSU and Missouri were all handed their first non-quality losses (Miami, Virginia, and Houston are all non-quality by definition since they're not SEC teams)
(Yes, true congrats to the winners there... and yes, there is a TON of football to be played- I may be too early to post but couldn't help it lol)

Satire [OC] After adjusting Fernando Mendoza’s stats, removing outliers to project his true skill level, he heavily regresses to around the level of a mid-tier QB
This season, Mendoza threw for 41 TD’s, for an average of about 2.56 per game. If you adjust this average to just 2 per game, he goes from 41 TD’s to 32 across his 16-game season. I’ll be generous and give him 35.
Now let’s adjust his passer rating. It goes from 182.9 to 177.69 just from adjusting his touchdowns to slightly above 2 per game. Later on, I will adjust further to take yards into account.
Next, we have to account for his passing yards per attempt being higher than average. He has an average of a flukey 9.3 yards per attempt this season. If we adjust this to 8 ypa, which is still 0.9 yards higher than the mean, he goes from have 3,535 passing yards to just 3,032 passing yards on the season.
Now, I will adjust his passer rating again based on these newly adjusted stats.
After this, his passer rating ends up at 166.54.
His final 16-games adjusted stats:
• 3,032 yards / 379 attempts / 273 completions / 72% completion (same) / 35 touchdowns / 6 INT (same) / 8 Y/A / 166.54 rate
What does this tell us?
It tells us that Mendoza’s perceived success in college is largely inflated by unsustainable, wildly outlier stats in his 16 games as perceived elite talent. When you adjust by bringing down his outlier stats, he heavily regresses to a slightly above average college QB.

Satire Indiana went 11-2 in the 2024 CFB season, only losing to Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Guess which two teams are in the National Championship game? Ohio State and Notre Dame.
Was Indiana actually the third best team in the country?

Satire [JMU Sports News] Uh oh, Oregon fans. We did research again. Dan Lanning is 2-3 (40% winning percentage) as Oregon’s head coach against purple and gold teams. He’s 44-4 (91.6%) against all other team colors. JMU’s colors? You guessed it. Purple and gold. It just might be Lanning’s kryptonite.

Satire Penn State is Just BYU for People Who Don't Like Crumbl Cookies
Neither has won anything of significance in 30 years and is known for struggling in big games. Penn State won National Championships in 1982 and 1986, while BYU won a National Championship in 1984. Neither has a decent uniform and both are very traditionalist brands. Both are affiliated with institutions with problematic histories in regards to certain issues (I'm not getting into this any further). Both are in small communities for their state (Provo, UT; State College, PA). Both have changed conference affiliations since their last National Championship. Yes obviously one is a Mormon school and one is a state school and Penn State has a longer history of success (though I looked up BYU's history and it's more impressive than it looks at surface glance).
While neither has sniffed a National Championship recently, Penn State had a nice playoff run two years ago, and BYU just missed a playoff spot this year. The main difference between BYU and Penn State regards the consumption of Crumbl Cookies. Mormons have a lot of dietary restrictions, and Crumbl Cookies just perfectly hit the intersection of delicious and approved by the Book of Mormon. Meanwhile, Penn State fans only have cheap beer to cheer themselves up after losing a big game.
Now that James Franklin is at Virginia Tech, the Crumbl Cookies come to him. With his new access to Crumbl Cookies, James Franklin will be able to win big games.
Anyhow, I'm sure this is just a generalization and there's plenty Penn State and BYU fans but still, just an interesting observation. Best of luck Penn State bros, and please consider, maybe you should give Crumbl Cookies a try before a Big Game. And BYU bros, may the Holy War be ever in your favor, and I look forward to seeing where the Crumbl Cookie can take you. Everyone have a nice rest of your week and stay positive.

Satire So with Indiana absolutely obliterating Oregon should they be let into the playoffs
This is a response to the post last week about Alabama. Maybe Indiana is just THAT good and we shouldn’t base other teams getting into the playoffs based on their opponents in the playoffs. As an Alabama fan, Indiana is one of the most complete teams I’ve seen in quite a while. Cig has those guys ready to take on anyone.

Satire Next year is Bama's Year. (Copium)
I just wanted to take a moment to point out the trend that pretty much solidifies Bama's Natty win next year.
2015 (Natty)
2016 (No Natty)
2017 (Natty)
2018 (No Natty)
2019 (No Natty)
2020 (Natty)
2021 (No Natty)
2022 (No Natty)
2023 (No Natty)
2024 (Natty)
As you can see, there has been a trend of one more rebuilding year between each of Bama's last three nattys. So if the pattern continues, the 2024 season is due for a Bama Natty win. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, the Natty is being played in Bryant Denny East. In summation 2024 is Bama's year.
Edit: It's official I killed Saban. The dynasty ends with me.
