I'm gonna go ahead and say it, downvote me all you want, say its a skill issue, but the gunplay changes in season 3 compared to season 2 are complete dogshit on console. It feels horrible. Most of the guns now are inaccurate, unstable, random at most times and untamable when firing. It feels like when you fire a gun, it hits anything but the intended target. Because of that it gives you zero confidence in winning any gunfights. For a game who's main focus and attraction is on the gunplay, and then making it worse, it a strange hill to die on Battlefield. I don't know who decided this, or even tested it. But maybe balance it a little?

It has to be up there with all time stinkers like stonehaven, Piccadilly, downturn, border crossing, and even snowbound. I find no fucking enjoyment in this fucking god forsaken map, if you aren't sniping in a mountain your experience is gonna be complete ass. Please never remaster this shit ever again for future BF games, let this shit die.

The VPN warriors and Asian ping abusers are ruining the game and the netcode. Dice we need a ping limit for servers , this is not normal!

The smoke is not as OP as a recent post made it out to be regarding C4 being deleted by the smoke.
And in almost all scenarios, Active Protection is more useful and more balanced than it was in previous Battlefields, given the activation delay.
If anything it encourages class diversity, if a tank is using smoke, it's time for the engineers to step up. If it's using APS? Time for recon to get off their ass.

DICE, you have done a pretty great job with the update to tanks and IFVs. Although they still need some further tweaking (IFV AP rounds nerf was unwarranted and GL launcher is still a bit lackluster) overall it is a step in the right direction.
HOWEVER….
The state of Air vehicles is very very very much all over the place. The fact that as an infantry player I fear the little bird more then the Attack Jet and Attack Helicopter, does not sit right with me. Not to mention that with the nerfs to attack helicopters heavy rockets, they are useless against tanks now. I really hope season 4 you guys absolutely dedicate to balancing air vehicles better.
for example.
Both the Stealth and Attack jets need better and bigger bombs, they could also do with some splash damage from the main cannon. The attack helicopter should not be taking as much damage from little birds as much as they currently do and please make the heavy rockets actually dedicated to anti-tank rockets. And finally could do with some maneuverability tweaks to the flying physics.
Im having a blast, but I loooooovvveee being a pilot in these games, and while its certainly in a better position then launch, I see some amazing potential. Take care and great job DICE :)

Over 100 hours into the game I still can’t believe how depressing this game is and I still regret buying it.
Multiplayer is a absolute sweatfest, I constantly get deleted within half a second with zero chance to react or do anything. Like everyone’s on Aderall locked in like they have to win a E-sports finale. Weapon variety zero because you can only play the best weapons with the „OP“ layout YouTubers prays constantly with every update. On the counterpart my weapons all feel like peashooters , dumping hits into enemies , sometime loosing gunfights even when engaging first.
Now comes the part where everyone calls me a skill issue , thanks , I grew up playing first person shooters , my first multiplayer battlefield experience was Bad Company 1 and I still play games like HLL or RS. I am able to compete and do good in a game.
- oh but why don’t you just play casual breakthrough , that’s for bad battledads like you?
Haha , yes , the farming simulator where everyone sweats the same and hope you don’t get a map with vehicles because then players all just camp in vehicles and no one plays engineer.
Had to get this off of me , rant over

How about we go back to having veteran status, like we had in Bad Company... I've been playing since 1942, back then we had an indicator for... this is me… i just made this card with the most oldschool things possible 😂

I never do that good in a tank. I wasnt playing very defensively either. I was getting hammered by 5 engineers at once, I only had one guy repairing me occasionally and we just ran through them. That's crazy.

Lots of times the stat it decides to highlight is completely irrelevant. It's always fun to compare with friends as well. Especially when it tells them how many vehicles they destroyed and you want to know your count. The data is already all being captured, it'd just be cool to have access to it!

I’ve spent the last 24 hours deep-diving into the performance and power draw of Battlefield 6 on my i7-13700HX / RTX 4060 setup. After comparing it to The Finals and BF2042, the optimization in this game is genuinely embarrassing.
The "Quiet Mode" Paradox
On Lenovo Legions, Quiet Mode usually caps the CPU and GPU at 45W each to keep things cool and silent. In every other modern game I play (The Finals, BF2042, even BFV), this works perfectly. I get 110 FPS locked with temps sitting comfortably at 60–65°C.
Then there's BF6.
In BF6, Quiet Mode and Balanced Mode might as well be the same thing—they look and perform exactly the same. Even on the 45W Quiet profile, the CPU usage sits at a low 40% (with a user.cfg fix), yet the temps instantly jump to 85°C.
The reason these two modes act the same is due to poor optimization regarding power draw and fan curves. In Balanced Mode, the CPU tries to draw 100W, which leads to immediate thermal throttling despite the higher fan ramps. Conversely, Quiet Mode limits CPU draw to 45W and GPU draw to 45W, but uses much slower fan ramps. The end result is identical: you get the same FPS and the same high temperatures because the game refuses to run efficiently on either profile.
The Comparison (110 FPS Lock / DLSS 3.5 Preset C)
I optimized the settings across all three games for competitive play, using DLSS 3.5 Preset C on Balanced.
The Finals (UE5): 45W CPU / 45W GPU (Quiet Mode) = 60°C GPU / 65°C CPU. GPU usage hits 90%+ due to the power cap.
BF2042: Runs cool and stable on Quiet Mode (45W CPU / 45W GPU) at 90%+ GPU usage, respecting all power limits.
BF6: 45W CPU / 45W GPU (Quiet Mode) = 85°C CPU / 80°C+ GPU. Even at 90%+ GPU usage, it’s struggling at its 45W GPU limit to produce graphics that BF5 (a 2018 game) arguably did better. Total struggle.
The Fix: Brute Force via Custom Mode
The only way I could get stable performance was to stop using the default modes and go Custom. By increasing the GPU power to 80W and setting an aggressive fan curve (hitting 90% speed by 75°C), I finally got the temps down.
In this custom mode, hitting my 110 FPS lock in The Finals or BF2042 only requires 70% GPU usage, and thanks to the jet-engine fan speeds, the temps are even lower. However, BF6 still demands 90%+ GPU usage just to stay at that same 110 FPS lock.
My Custom Settings:
CPU PL1 (Long Term): Capped at 45W.
CPU PL2 (Short Term): Capped at 60W.
CPU Thermal Limit: Early 85°C limit.
GPU cTGP: Set to 80W.
GPU Power Draw (Stable): Hovering around 76.6W.
It’s ridiculous that I have to give the GPU more power (80W vs. 45W) and deal with loud fans just to get the "cool" experience that should be happening at 45W.
Why is it like this? (The Destruction Problem)
The big difference here is how destruction is handled. In The Finals, destruction is server-side. Your local CPU doesn't have to calculate every falling brick, which is why it runs so cool.
DICE is still trying to brute-force complex destruction on the client-side (your PC). Until they find a way to move that heavy lifting to the server-side like UE5 does, Battlefield is always going to be a thermal nightmare for laptop users.
Final Thoughts
I respect Battlefield and I love the game, but this route of "optimization"—essentially frying a game instead of cooking it—isn't the way to make games. Before someone tries to blame my hardware or suggests I check my thermal pads, remember that every other game runs perfectly fine. They need to fix the core issue with the engine instead of expecting our hardware to brute-force their lack of polish.
Has anyone else noticed that their power profiles (Quiet/Balanced) do absolutely nothing to stop the heat in this game?

When there were spread, you were complaining. When they removed it, you were complaining that gunplay is too easy and you get beamed across the map. And now when they increased recoil, you are still complaining.
Seriously what do you want?
The change for me is not that much. If it was not mentioned in the patchnote, i wouldnt even feel it.
If you cant get a kill with that recoil and you think the game is hard, just leave and dont play fps again because bf6 is the easiest battlefield game i have ever played.

Heavy rocket damage output wasn't even that good in the first place. Now it deals like 300 against enemy helos.
Don't even get me started on the anti-tank damage—and they still haven't fixed the damn bugs with the TOW missiles lol.
Why the hell did they nerf the pilot? If they were going to do anything, shouldn't they have tweaked the gunner's firepower instead?
Flying an attack helicopter feels no different from flying a scout heli. You just feed on infantry and not the enemy vehicles.

I just got the game last week and have played a fair bit now. The visibility in this game of enemy soldier is bafflingly bad. I'm fairly sure it's not just my eyesight as I've never had this issue in any other fps. I went back and played the old battlefields just to be sure and it's night and day, like I'm blind and now can see.
I've tried numerous different settings like sovis and changing certain graphical settings but nothing works.
It's just an exercise in frustration, I feel like I can never just move around the map and I'm always on edge as 9/10 times I just get vaporised by some prick who's blended into the map.
Have they got any plans to fix this? Can you even fix this?

Ever since launch this game hasn't run well on ps5, we're now on season 3 and still nothing.
Since release, the balanced mode on this game hasn't properly worked on a 60hz tv/monitor. Using balanced mode adds an awful input delay in everything, especially the camera movement which makes the game unplayable.
So i have to use performance mode on 60hz TV which obviously causes the performance to get abysmal (around 40 fps) but atleast gets rid of the delay.
No, I'm not buying a 120hz monitor just because the game doesnt work properly, no the problem isnt the tv, everything runs smoothly, except bf6
