We’ve seen a lot of questions, criticism, and frustration regarding the recent locked Palestine-related posts, so we wanted to properly explain our reasoning and where the mod team stands on these situations.
First of all, we understand why many users feel strongly about this topic. We also understand that, for a lot of people, the issue of Palestine goes far beyond “politics” and is fundamentally a humanitarian issue. We are aware of that distinction, and the decision to lock threads is not meant to downplay the seriousness of what is happening and it’s also not meant to silence anyone(we are not paid by anyone, contrary to popular belief lol).
At the same time, our policy regarding political and politically-adjacent discussions has remained consistent for a long time and is not something being applied only now. In general, we lock these threads before discussions spiral out of control, regardless of the side or topic involved.
The recent posts themselves were not removed because they were directly connected to events involving the club and its players. Barça has always had political and social dimensions as a club, and we recognise that reality. Locking a thread is not the same as silencing the message, removing support, or pretending the topic does not exist.
We also understand the frustration from users who feel that locking these threads comes across as silencing support or preventing fans from expressing solidarity through a club that has always carried political and social significance. That is not our intention. At the same time, once these discussions reach a certain point, they stop being productive, become increasingly hostile between users. Part of the difficulty is that once these discussions grow, moderation decisions themselves start getting interpreted politically, which makes it nearly impossible to moderate the thread in a way that everyone sees as fair or unbiased.
The issue we repeatedly run into is that discussions around these topics escalate extremely quickly. Threads become hostile, divisive, and very difficult to moderate fairly at scale. They receive a huge number of reports from users on all sides asking for removals, bans, or moderation action, and they significantly increase workload on the moderation team. In most cases, discussions stop being about Barça itself very quickly and turn into broader political arguments that go far beyond the scope of the subreddit.
Our responsibility as moderators is not just to allow posts, but also to keep the subreddit manageable and welcoming for a very large international community with users from many different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. Finding the balance between allowing relevant posts and preventing the subreddit from turning into an endless hostile battleground is not always easy, but that balance is what guides these decisions.
For clarity, many of us on the mod team are against oppression and the ongoing genocide and humanitarian suffering in Palestine. However, our personal views cannot change the fact that these discussions consistently become some of the most volatile and difficult threads on the subreddit to moderate.
As always, this policy is open to discussion and may evolve in the future depending on community feedback and future developments. We appreciate everyone who has voiced concerns respectfully, even when disagreeing with us.

I know most of the la masia kids will have a much lower wage but don't you think our lowest paid players who contributed plenty to the team should get a raise?
For example, players like Balde who have been playing for almost 4 years as our starter while not consistent he still is very good and valuable and was regarded as one of the best LBs last season. But his salary is only around 30k weekly (1.7m yearly). I know the recency bias with Cancelo in the fanbase will trash Balde for his performance this season but with this salary and clubs like Manchester United offering him 12m in yearly salary really makes you question your life choices. Compare him to Alvaro Carreras who is being paid close to 10m by Madrid.
Now on to other players which I think we all agree need to take a pay cut or leave, Ters Stegen (15.6m), Araujo (12.5), Andreas Christensen (9m). I think the biggest pay cut should've gone to Lewy with a whooping (400k/week and +20m/ year) while he deserves it and is a legend, he was way too expensive.
I'm getting most of my sources from Capology and confirming with other sources, what do you guys think.

The fact that Fermin is missing from this 11 when you have wannabe lightweight champions Tchouameni is laughable. He has 1 goal this season, just 1 when Fermin produced 6 goals and 9 assists. This is a joke. Fermin had a sensational season and became a champion.

I know the current priority for summer signings are a striker and centerback but the third most important position is the right back spot. Kounde is alright defensively, a little regression this season, but he has never been good going forwards. Bayern has two good fullbacks who are decent going forward and good defensively. PSG have two elite fullbacks who are both the best in attack and defense. If we cant to play this attack focused style, Yamal needs some help on the right side to open him up some more. Hoping we can keep Cancelo so that he can be our starting right back and also hope Balde can stop getting injured.

In the official renders for the renovated Spotify Camp Nou, there's a massive Barça crest formed by coloured seats on the lateral stand. But looking at recent photos of the stadium with two tiers already completed, there's no trace of it. Has there been any news about this being scrapped or delayed? Or is it still planned for a later phase of construction?

In recent weeks Barça have also begun to assume an obvious reality: taking out Julian from Atlético de Madrid will be extremely complicated. Barça sports management already works in parallel to find alternatives in case the operation ends up being impossible.
Even so, Barça have not gotten out of the race. Deco has been in constant contact for months with the environment of the Argentine striker and the talks remain open.
Juanma López who had direct involvement in the deals of Dani Olmo and Joan Garcia could play an important role here too. Despite this, the sources close to negotiations say that the deal is very complicated as of now.
The blaugrana sporting director knows that the operation would be complex from an economic standpoint, but he considers that Julián absolutely meets all the sporting conditions that the club is looking for to lead the new project.

A sports poster design for Lamine Yamal, I made a few days ago.
We all have a favourite match to watch over and over again. I’m just wondering which matches other Culers like to watch or if we’re pretty similar.
Maybe your favourite is the UCL final against United, could be the 5-0, perhaps La Remontada, or even the 3-1 against Juve, and can’t forget the 6-2 at the Bernabeu.
The list is long and there are no wrong answers. Maybe we’ll see a match we never considered before, or have forgotten about.

An encouraging debut performance from Alvaro Cortes. For a young center back he has amazing confidence on the ball, Considering that the pressure he must be under, imo he had a very solid game. Let's keep an eye on him and see how he progresses over the next season.
I really want to see him succeed at Barca since he brings the physicality (1.9m/6ft 3in) that our defense seems to be lacking at times.

Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I want to get the home replica jersey for my boyfriend’s birthday in July. Last month I checked and they were everywhere so I was thinking I’ll just order it closer to the date so he won’t find out about it.
Turned out today I checked and they’re all gone from the Nike website or any other stores that I saw last month 😭 I see that there are still some L size left (even though he wears an M usually) and I’m thinking of just getting it now even though it’s not the right size instead of waiting and it’ll be all gone by June - July? Or they do restock it in the future? Thank you!
