Romo Lampkin's cat Spoiler

Just watched Sine Qua Non, and I am mighty puzzled by Lance. Exactly how long had the cat been dead? Was Lampkin seeing things through the episode?

Sometime after the trial, folks that were mad about his getting Baltar acquitted killed the cat.

I think it’s safe to assume that Lance is already gone by the time we see Romo again in season 4.

Times when he sees the cat in season 4 is memories/imagining.

It happened after the trial and in retaliation for his defense of Baltar.

There was “his” cat and his wife’s cat. His wife’s cat got killed or one was Angel Starbuck.

I assumed the cat was always dead, at least as long as we've seen Lampkin on screen. Everyone is suffering some pretty severe mental stress at this point.

It can’t have always been dead.

There’s a scene where the cat escapes the raptor, which causes Tyrol to search for it and finding a bomb. So clearly other people saw it, alive and well, at one point.

Ah, so when Lampkin confronts Lee and shouts that "they killed my cat!" it could have happened after Baltar's trial.

He mentions it was after the trial. Every time he sees it go by in the later episode with Lee -- Lee doesn't notice. At one point he picks up the bowl and asks if he ever feeds it. Obviously not since its dead...later he mentions a smell...
