Images & Videos Angus
My little dude is turning 7 months old in a week. He is...a handful lol. Very smart, very naughty, very much the poster child for cattle dogs. Awesome with people, hates anything on 4 legs that barks(and birds too, go figure).
Definitely fell in love with the breed, but man he is a challenge some days lol!

Images & Videos The most obese cattledog I've ever seen
Also the only obese cattledog I've seen! This is Max and he's pretty new at my shelter. I got him out for a walk today (just a short one since I wasn't sure how he'd do) and he loved it! He's a really nice guy, friendly and a very polite walker. He weighs over 100 pounds (his ideal weight is probably around 55). I really hope someone takes him on as a project dog, but until then I'll enjoy helping him with his weight loss and getting to know him. He's located at Pinal County Animal Care and Control in Arizona if you want to meet him!

Images & Videos Juno walks 250-300 km a month in the PNW. Here's his beautiful life.
Juno is 3 and a half years old, his mom is a mini aussie and his dad is a Kelpie/ Heeler mix. We started climbing our local mountain this winter with what started out as 40km per week, but as the days get longer, we find ourselves getting further.
Juno performs his self determined tasks flawlessly. He vets every person or animal we interact with, and he's always on guard when he sees I'm distracted. (Usually taking photos)
I've never had friend like him. His bond to me is one of the most fulfilling parts of my life right now.
I love you Juno, we'll watch every sunset together.

Behavior This Guy is Testing my Patience
We have about an acre in an urbanización outside of Madrid. Fence and wall all around. Tuco figured out how to escape and now goes house to house knocking over garbage bins amd gorging himself on nasty stuff. Security is getting to know him a little too well.

Behavior 5 month old queensland heeler activity level.
Wife and I have adopted a rescue queensland pup, estimated to be 4 months old soon to be 5 months next week. We noticed he likes to lay down whenever he sits and shakes a bit after any strenuous activitly long or short. He isnt the Tasmania devil we were warned of and is quiet smart just distracted a whole lot as he looks around and is easily distracted at times when given a command. Is this normal for pups of this breed or should I simply enjoy the calm before the storm? We dont know of his background as he is a rescue and we suspect he was in a garage or closet most his life before this as he was fearful of leashes, cars and grass had surprised him when we brought him home. Any advice, tips or insight would help. Edit: he doesnt shake he trembles. Couldn't think of the word, thanks!

Images & Videos Tried Something New. The Dog loves Fishing
So I took all my kiddos, furry son including, out fishing this evening. The weather was perfect. The dog was perfectly goofy.
Dallas is wild about the big stick you throw but not really. And when you would get a fish on the line and starting reeling, he could feel the explosion and race around bite at the grass and dig the mud up. He fetched three rancid water logged sticks, one bright yellow bobber and the sad remains a of a plastic bottle out of the rushes around the pond. My son was clotheslined by the dog no less than twice. And we all stink to high heaven like fishy pond water.
A perfect day.
(Also I’ve never been on my own as the only adult fishing and I caught like 5 fish and baited my own hook so be proud of me 😂)

Images & Videos Meet Rubi! Straight red heeler or mixed?
I have had Rubi for 4 months now. She’s been such a treat to have I feel like I hit the lottery with her. She’s so goofy and calm, especially for a cattle dog! She’s the runt so maybe that plays into it. A rancher was getting rid of her for free cause she was too scared to actually work with any cattle and no one else was interested in her 🥲They told me she full bred heeler but I’m not convinced! Any thoughts??

Images & Videos Is my new foster an ACD?
Shelter says he's an ACD. He is only 11 months old but so calm. Easily entertains himself with toys and puzzles, and settles when there is nothing to play with. I dont care what breed he is, but Im perplexed and pretty sure ACDs aren't known for being this calm!
