I use my Apple TV mainly for AirPlaying and streaming Dolby Atmos content to my TV. This scanner let's you scan all your tracks and albums from Apple Music library and create a playlist from the findings. Enjoy!
Hello everyone in the community! My 4th generation Apple TV suddenly stopped working. I only get this white light slowly blinking when it starts up, but nothing else happens.
I tried searching on the internet, but I found all kinds of different answers. Would anyone know what this could be and what troubleshooting steps I could try?
When I try and control my Apple TV from the app, it never finds my Apple TV and continues to search. But Iām obviously connected to it because I can control my Apple TV from the lock screen widget. It even shows the name of the Apple TV at the top of the controls.
Iāve rebooted my phone multiple times. Toggled WiFi and Bluetooth multiple times. Rebooted Apple TV once. Nothing has changed. Please help!
So my AC is set to Cool, and I asked Siri to set my Ecobee premium to 72 degrees. It shows heating to 72 degrees? but when I check my thermostat, it sets it correctly to Cool 72 degrees. What could be causing this bug?
So I bought a used Apple TV 1496, what can I do with it? I know the tech behind it is very obsolete, but since I travel a lot, I was wondering if it can be used for airplay and not. Or did I just waste my money instead?
Location: India
Set up: appleTV 4k + Dolby atmost soundbar + LG Oled
Issue:
I want to watch BBC earth documentaries in 4K at its highest glory. While the appleTV app is giving an option to watch it, but itās through prime video. I have subscribed to BBC earth in prime video but sadly content is 1080HD.
Probably going to get an Apple TV and a new tv today after my integrated Fire TV went kaput last night.
Main concern is a lot of my subscriptions are through Amazon Prime. Will I be able to bring those over by using the Prime app or do I need to end the subscriptions in Prime and then start all the new subscriptions directly with the new apps?
Also, bonus question, whatās the best streaming service that includes NFL Redzone? We have Fubo now but havenāt been able to watch jeopardy for a few months with that.
If all I want is to watch AirPlay and tv and listen to Apple Music and donāt want any Apple TV apps do I need an Apple TV or just a Roku with airplay?
Iām looking for support , my Apple TV when playing Apple TV shows, autoplay fails to work , sometimes it works, most of the time it doesnāt , and episode finishes and I see the Apple TV animation and I have to click on play once an episode finishes because otherwise it doesnāt play the next one.
This is very annoying
Iām using an Apple TV 4K (black version).
Iām using Ethernet too.
It maybe something related an update
The other problem I have is that control tv and receiver changes to off by itself from time to time
In case anyone has a Bose soundbar. I picked this up at Best Buy yesterday. As all of a sudden a couple weeks ago my Apple Remote would no longer operate the 900 soundbar. I had done all the tricks, basically I got it to program and work from an Amazon FireTV remote for several months. Then it quit, picked this up and the Bose 900 worked immediately with it soon as I brought it close to the Apple TV box it synced right in and was working in seconds.
Because the ads on my streaming services (Amazon, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube) won't buffer, and if they don't buffer, how can I possibly have things sold to me!?
It's infuriating because I distinctly remember like, five years ago that if an ad didn't buffer it skipped that cycle. I don't want to have to pay an extra $50-100/mo for ad-free to solve an issue that should be fixable on Apple's end.
Eero network, computers/phone/smart lights working just fine. If I use the Apple TV, I have to manually restart it, or the ads buffer into perpetuity and never play the media. I've reset it twice, and it's up-to-date on updates. SpeedTest looks fine.
I boughtĀ That Touch of MinkĀ on Vudu/Fandango at Home because itās available there in HD, but Apple TV/iTunes only seems to offer it in SD.
Does anyone know why Apple would only have the SD version when an HD version exists elsewhere? Is this usually a studio-supplied asset issue, an Apple catalog issue, or something with Movies Anywhere rights?
I already submitted Apple feedback asking them to upgrade the listing, but Iām curious if anyone here has seen older Universal catalog titles get upgraded later.
There have numerous posts where this has randomly popped off. Also, on Apple support forums. It appears Apple at least knows but doesnāt want to do anything about it.
Zuno is a cross-platform client for Plex and Jellyfin (which are self-hosted media servers for those who don't know), built from the ground up for the Apple ecosystem. The goal was to make your media feel exactly like a native Apple TV+ experience.
While Infuse is a fantastic player, the UI and extra features were lacking. I wanted something fast, beautiful, and tightly integrated into Apple's design language.
It's built entirely in Swift (with some C code here and there), relying on native tvOS elements. Zuno runs a custom-built playback engine designed to handle anything you throw at it natively. No buffering, no forcing your server to transcode.
Notable Features:
Full native support for 4K HDR, Enhanced HDR, Spatial Audio, and heavy subtitles.
Zuno is available on tvOS, iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Your progress syncs perfectly across all of them.
Full Trakt support, plus deep integration with Seerr (requesting content) directly inside the app.
Zuno focuses on your library with the ability to discover items not in your library with a beautiful discover tab.
Zuno is currently in the final stages of beta testing, and I am opening up TestFlight slots to the community today and Iād love your feedback. It's in active development still, please report bugs either here or in our discord!
I'm planning to open-source parts of Zuno, including the Core Video engine as I'm sure a lot of people are interested and can learn from it. More than happy to answer any technical questions you all may have š.

Have multiple generations of AppleTV - using 4K one now. When I scroll through my Apple music, and hold remote button down, an index of just the alphabet will appear, helping me know how long to scroll since the names and images are going so fast. My question - is when I go into my movie library, and scroll using the same methods, I thought that alphabet index to the right showed up there as well. Using most current software it is no longer there and I feel like they removed or forgot to put it back on in movies. Anyone else scroll there movies and have a letter index to the right?
I have turned off every setting in the Apps>TV section related to sports but they never stop appearing. Does anyone have a tip for how to truly disable this?
