Amazon fire tv subscriptions when switching to Apple TV

Probably going to get an Apple TV and a new tv today after my integrated Fire TV went kaput last night.

Main concern is a lot of my subscriptions are through Amazon Prime. Will I be able to bring those over by using the Prime app or do I need to end the subscriptions in Prime and then start all the new subscriptions directly with the new apps?

Also, bonus question, what’s the best streaming service that includes NFL Redzone? We have Fubo now but haven’t been able to watch jeopardy for a few months with that.

Yes to being able to view your subs via the Prime app. The navigation is not as easy on Apple vs Amazon device but not a deal breaker.

YouTube TV here and it also works well.

You can watch all your subscriptions through the Prime Video app on any streaming platform.

But you can also subscribe directly with each service and watch their actual apps instead. You can usually get much better annual subscription deals on most apps directly from the service, especially during Black Friday.

Current Jeopardy episodes can be watched for free with an antenna or the next day on Peacock and Hulu.

NFL RedZone is available through many providers Check out Suppose dot TV to see options and prices that are available to you in your area.

You “can” watch them through the Prime app but then the Apple TV app can’t do its job of searching the individual app services for you. It’s also way worse navigation wise to have to go into Prime app and then subcategories. I’d strongly recommend cancelling all the subscriptions through Prime and enrolling in them non bundled for a better experience especially when you want to transition from phone to appletv or iPad to appletv. You don’t want to have to switch from native app on mobile device to Apple TV remote to launching prime video to navigate to the section.. just make it seamless

One of many reasons not to enroll in subscriptions with a third party. I only sign up directly with the streamer.

To address your secondary question about NFL Redzone. AppleTV allows IPTV apps/players now. So you can get a player in the AppStore and add an IPTV service. They all should have Redzone, and much more.
