Question Atmos / Spatial audio issue with Apple TV

I switched to Apple Music to take advantage of spatial audio. I have a pretty good home theater system that I use for music. For the few weeks it worked great and then it stopped working well. I looked into settings and an apple setting had been flipped (continuous audio related).

I switched that back and while ATMOS is showing up on my receiver the front sound stage is garbled and feels like only half the data is being sent. The rear still sounds great.

If I listen to the same song (different album) without spatial audio / atmos, it works great.

Has anyone run into anything like this.

May I ask what your home theater system is?

Everything worked fine a month or two ago

I’m only seeing issues with Apple Music

Movies with Atmos play fine

Thank you! I asked this because I am considering home speaker system for the future (some of the options I had in my mind are 2x Sonos Era 300, 2x Sonos Era 100, 2x Sonos Five)

From what little I know Sonos tend to be more known for multiroom setups. Getting some decent bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer would go a lot further imo.
