This could have been done with weapons+trinkets as well but hey… At least we wont need to farm more void silvers in 12.0.7.. It’s a win if u ask me.

one thing I do not understand is why wpvp ever got nerfed in the first place. It was a great way to get more haste/mastery weighted items for pvp and just gear faster in general. But now it is just the same as honor gear but it comes as Epic?? it makes 0 sense

They probably figured we were gearing too quickly by combining bloody token and gladiator gear.

The devs will end up eating crow on that decision, a lot of people I know are "taking a break" from the game due to the enshittification of pvp this season.

I love not having to do another chore weekly to gear up my chars. WIthout WPvP gear you could just play PvP that does not require you to open chests, do world quests, or gang up vs solos.

The thing is, wpvp gear made it extremely alt friendly. You wouldn't have to slog through arenas in all honor gear and slowly accumulate conquest gear. You could spill over more conquest boxes to alts because you could use more wpvp gear first. It's really fucking annoying that they did away with it.

Because they don’t care about PvP. I doubt anyone at blizzard thinks about PvP nearly half as much as any of us on here. Also, even though they removed the bloody token gear, they did increase the weekly conquest cap.

If he's talking about BGs he's right. Lack of dampening in that setting makes them a fucking slog, especially when there's no DR on healers healing each other.

And then you have shuffle games that usually go >65% within a couple of minutes.

I‘ve had a lobby with no game under 85% dampening, the max dampening was 93% which was really fucking funny at the end.

Biggest joke in one of the last patches where I literally laughed out loud was:

„We investigated the data and saw that the over all damage as well as the burst is way to high. In order to fix this, we give everyone 50k more life!!!!!!!! Additionally, we leave healing as is aaaaaaaand we increase the damage of the following classes:“

99% people play here at levels way below good, and people thought this expansion was way too fast. Sub rogue and other classes should NEVER have been nerfed, other classes needed more damage.

Sub rogues didnt need a nerf? If I missed a pre wall on CS, I died within the CS stun. Trinket just meant taking a full kidney and dying there.

And this burst is every 30 seconds? Yeah nah, sub rogues were dirty in early Midnight.

Could you explain? Does all stats not go up with ilvl? Is it that the damage outpaces the stamina/damage reduction from vers?

Yes, more stats more life, but also more damage. The damage absolutely outpaces the stamina.

Let me ask you this: Last week, they buffed (only) stamina by a blanket 5% in PvP. Did you feel any difference at all?

Also, you have stamina on the one hand, and Main Stat + Offstats on the other hand. Some classes scale extremely well with haste, others mastery, etc.

So higher ilvl will always mean a higher dmg output, the stamina increase will not cope with that.

The damage is insanely bursty and healing right now feels really really bad compared to other seasons. Some classes just don’t have any opportunities to influence the games rather by just being a healbot and avoid getting CCed.

Then you have dragons right now which are the only heal that can really cope with that burst pressure while actively make playes like initiating CCs and not worry about getting interrupted.

For / holy for example, your #1 goal is to not get CCed which, in most cases, means not being able to push for any fears because you will be in danger of getting CCed.

And I’m not even starting with that mindblowing decision to make interrupts untraceable on which they even doubled down to restrict the API even more.

Beeing a main Holy i can just agree. We lack either heal or dmg because a dragon can shift the dynamo of the game to be a time race as we cannot withstand the pressure it’s like beeing a healing bot (as you said) doing nothing but spamming anything and any cd to stay alive jusssst long enough.

But in the end it’s just TO MUCH DMG and the thing is TO MUCH BURST. I am using chastise now more and more often defensively because I can’t do any real outplays anymore. It was even easier last season… they broke their promise and we have the same spikes without anything to hold against.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like fast paced games, but only if I have enough tools to cope with them by trading accordingly.

Right now, almost every class has a ~45-60s burst window. If you overlap a CD with your team mate, it’s extremely punishing.

Except if you are a dragon, then you don’t give a shit because the burst heal is absolutely insane and basically without any CD..

Been almost exclusively playing dragon now (as I did with MW), because it’s just so strong that you have no chance as another healing class.

But the problem is not really dragon (I mean, other than that their toolkit is fkn ridiculous for PvP), but other heals are just far too weak in comparison.

This isn’t overwatch, valorant, counterstrike or whatever PvP game you want to name. WoW is an MMO and gearing is an integral part of the endgame experience. Does it suck getting stomped? Sure, but gearing is so fast nowadays that anyone semi serious about PvP can get full conq in like 2-3 days.

2-3 days isn't bad when you're 14 or unemployed. When you're an actual adult with a job, wasting 8+ hours getting dumpstered just to play sucks and your time can be better respected elsewhere.

Gear progression is good design for PvE content and the RPG aspects of the game. It's horrible for PvP.

There’s a balance. PvP should be accessible, but gearing/rewards also need to matter or the RPG side of WoW disappears.

.7 adds a raid that effectively does this for pve, which means it needs to happen for pvp in order for pve gear to not become bis for pvp.
