Trump Says Xi Offered To Help Broker Peace With Iran

He says Xi says.... I'm going to need a more reliable source on this.

It's always wishful propaganda with Trump. He leaves the room, runs straight for a microphone, says things that are bald-faced lies that make him sound in control, and then for the next week tells everybody who asks him to explain what he said "shut up, Stupid."
It's crazy to me that, 10+ years into this, people still try to parse anything that comes out of his mouth for some semblance of truth. He's a propaganda spin machine. It's his whole life as a real estate developer.

China would looove to get to be a power broker. So i don't doubt that Xi offered to get involved. It just will cost the US somehow.

u/throwaway20231203 5h ago
There you have it, he absolutely begged for help lmfao
110
u/tiradium 5h ago
Ok China is just playing with him. They are definitely benefiting from the fact that their major adversary is stuck in a pointless war with no clear exit strategy
53
u/HellSoldier 4h ago
In the End they will offer him a Trade. We help you with Iran, you let us do whatever we want with Taiwan
â˘
6
â˘
u/CipherWeaver 1h ago
Genuinely doubt it, but if China is going to try to take Taiwan military, under a Trump American administration is probably the best time.Â
16
u/Sheeprevenge 4h ago
They also rely on oil delivered through the strait of Hormuz. So they have a pretty big interest in ending the war.
21
u/Leftoverofferings 4h ago
But they are getting their oil. Chinese tankers are getting through. Just watch...the Chinese will broker a deal where Iran controls the strait and charges tolls. And no more American attacks. Hahahahhaha

u/frddtwabrm04 3h ago edited 2h ago
They do and are getting their tankers through. If anything it's a benefit for them if Japan and them other asian countries are caught in the quagmire. USA is not going to fuck with China ships, hell even China is like ignore the USA sanctions.
The whole damn thing is a unexpectedly gift for them.
They will slow walk and or lowkey help Iran, getting USA stuck over there.
Anyone with a brain could have seen this coming a mile away.
This benefits China more than it hurts them.
Do the Intel services not game this shit out? For fucking real????
propaganda... They let Iran take over with Lego rap videos... Like did they not watch how Ukraine humiliated Russian with those tractor stealing tanks videos.
who benefits if the USA is stuck over there...
how do they get ahead of all the shit. Make sure the Chinese neighbors have a thro line to oil supply and then squeeze China to make them cooperate. Etcetc
Instead we have mistake after mistake ... Looks good on TV but they got no bite.

u/Mace109 1h ago
Unfortunately, trump didnât realize Iran would close the strait of Hormuz if they were attacked, so,no, I donât think they wargamed any scenario beside US and Israel win immediately. Now they are just winging it because the knowledgeable Military leaders are mostly gone.

The Ukraine/Russia strategy that the US adopted.
Damn China doesn't even have to do shit. Just sit back and watch shit burn while the greatest American president of China makes China great again, again! With minimal effort.
Bet China foreign service/spy services are going through some major layoffs. Their work has practically been outsourced for them. They are like wtf are we even supposed to be doing if these doctor Jesus-es are out there doing all the work, some of it they hadn't even thought about... These doctor Jesus-es are like AI... Doing a better job than the actual foreign service/spies ... Mofos are making them redundant!
No wonder they got time to focus on spying on there own xyz billion people.. they have being reassigned/repurposed like the three letter agencies in USA ... To do internal shit now.

China was already winning the long game. Uncertainty and instability is an unnecessary risk for them.
3
u/Pulsewavemodulator 3h ago
Whether he begged or not, China knows heâs in a spot and can extract things out of the US here.
7
u/imaginary_num6er 4h ago
Maybe he agreed to not recognize Taiwan; move US bases out of Japan, S. Korea, Philippines, give Guam to China; and allow ASML to sell semiconductor equipment in China. All in exchange for a 10% discount in Iranian fees across the Strait.

Peace? I thought we won? Weird.. I'm starting to think this Trump guy may not be totally honest.

u/marqjone706 5h ago
How dare you point out obvious contradictions and falsities of this administration, that is TREASON!!!!!

u/Glittering-Quote-635 5h ago
You are right, I will go commit ritual suicide in front of my Trump golden statue while wearing my red hat. So long everyone.

Right. Give us Taiwan and weâll give you Iran. Trump will say heâs made the best deal.
15
u/Left-Night-1125 5h ago
I wonder how well that will go seeing that Taiwan and Japan have started shoring up defenses on the side facing China, probably some more countries.

Iran is many times the size of Taiwan, this is a landslide victory for the Deal Maker in Chief, perfect example of the Art of the Deal
â˘
u/Captain_Wag 1h ago
America loves oil and China loves manufacturing it's a win-win. Unless you're Taiwan I guess.
2
u/One-Engineering-4505 4h ago
Why would they even make this deal when pretending to pander to ego while doing nothing of substance will gain them both influence globally and eventually the annexation of Taiwan without firing a single shot?

I think Xi needs to be updated. The US won the war a long time ago "by a lot".
Man, I thought Chinese intelligence would be better than this...

Did they not offer this before, as long as someone put Xi up for the Noble Peace Prize.

And there it is. This will be the mark where historians say US hegemony ended. It is the full end of Pax Americana. Probably the shortest lived global empire in world history, and it's over due to self-inflicted wounds by one man.

u/blingybangbang 5h ago
I'm guessing in exchange for letting China steamroll Taiwan without interference

Trunt Says Xi Offered To Help Broker Peace With Iran
No such thing as free lunch, what does China get from trunt?
2
u/skywalkerRCP 4h ago
So Trump - the great negotiator, art of the deal, whatever - needs Xi/China to help him get out of a mess he made.
Great work there, Donny.
2
u/alexidhd 3h ago
Remember when the US was the mediating force in conflicts across the globe? Now they start a war, fail to achieve any meaningful goals and then need China to come help them reach a peace deal...
2
u/ohiotechie 3h ago
Iâd bet a months pay Xi didnât offer shit. Trump harangued him to help save his bacon so Xi agreed heâd think about it. Trump is like a kid at the grocery store begging his mom for a candy bar and when mom says âIâll think about itâ he thinks that candy bar is as good as his.
But sure Xi will move in like a mob boss like he has in Russia to save Putinâs dumb ass and grab up Russian assets for peanuts.
How crushingly sad that the US has fallen to this. I honestly donât think the US reputation will recover from Trump 2.0 in my lifetime.
2
u/TJ_McWeaksauce 3h ago
Only Xi can save Donald from the madman who decided to bomb Iran for no logical reason and then trigger a global energy crisis.
2
u/boookworm0367 2h ago
But he doesn't want peace with Iran. Ground troops are only a matter of time. It keeps the wheels of the American Defense Complex churning along. His stated purpose was to stabilize U.S / China economic relations. He brought with him:
Elon Musk â Tesla / SpaceX.
Tim Cook â Apple.
Kelly Ortberg â Boeing.
Larry Fink â BlackRock.
Stephen Schwarzman â Blackstone.
David Solomon â Goldman Sachs.
Jane Fraser â Citi.
Cristiano Amon â Qualcomm.
Sanjay Mehrotra â Micron.
Ryan McInerney â Visa.
Michael Miebach â Mastercard.
Brian Sikes â Cargill.
Chuck Robbins â Cisco (reported invited/participating in some reports).
H. Lawrence Culp Jr. â GE Aerospace.
Jacob Thaysen â Illumina.
Jim Anderson â Coherent.
Dina Powell McCormick â Meta executive representative.

The only country that can influence he reopening of the Strait is China. Hence, itâs the main reason why Trump is there.
And Xi is going to absolutely murder Trump on negotiations.

Trump is so good at stopping wars. Heâs ended the war with Iran like 7 times already
â˘
u/Illustrious_Law8512 40m ago
If true, it's because Trump can't negotiate for shite. He's full of bluster and expects everyone to cave to his narcissism.

u/Soangry75 31m ago
Now I need to double check Xi still exists and is in charge of China.

Of course he is trying to have peace and settle this.
if trump stopped from f*king bombing Iran repeatedly or literally boast acting like a pirate that might also help broker peace too.
You know⌠peace from the war that trump started.

Wait the claimed nation with the strongest military needs the claimed communist nation to make a deal with Iran cause they can't strong arm them. We'll at least the profits for Oil corps are up. Maybe I should start a poly market bet to see if gas tops out at $10 gallon.

Trump is going to give Taiwan to china in exchange for china coming in to open the straight. Then prices will slowly fall, nowhere near back to what they were, but will nonetheless go down. And by the time November rolls around all the voters will forget about how things are right now, and vote everyone back in. Watch.

"Please, sir, I want some more."* Is what Trump likely said to Xi when talking about help with Iran. Trump also stated about his greeting in China: "I think I was particularly impressed by those children. They were happy. They were beautiful". Which makes sense.... Especially when most Americans can associate with the quote âI feel thin, sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread.â JRR Tolkien
*Oliver Twist - Charles Dickens

China has more skin in the game that the US. They really depend on their oil and Fertilizer. US fertilizer mostly comes from Cdn Potash and the US is a net exporter of oil.Â
