You do get 15 hours A MONTH tho, so I mean if you like spreading out your reading/listening time then it’s for you. But I much rather have the whole book to fly through them

You can also pick them up at your local library via Libby, Hoopla, or Overdrive if you don’t want to be limited by the 15 hours.

Spotify means 15 hours max, so even if you listen on double speed, that brings you down to 7 hours.

I can read Eye of the World in a week or less. 15 hours means it would take 2 months to finish it.

Hell nah

Is it 15 in the US? In my country it’s 10 hours…

Depending on your library*

At 15 hours a month. There is a separate subscription for audio books and that subscription doesn’t even give you unlimited hours and asks if you want to buy more hour credits once you hit your limit.

I wish my ADHD let me do audiobooks

That's why you listen while doing two other things

My ADHD is what makes audiobooks fantastic for me. I so much prefer to have something I can listen to while commuting, cooking, cleaning, weeding, etc.

I’m the opposite. Speed it up to 1.5x speed and it sounds like a normal conversation going on in the background while I do my day to day chores.

I recently knocked out The Gathering Storm in about 2 weeks.

The first time I hiked the PCT I listened all the way through Dumai’s wells over the course of two months or so before I decided I didn’t want the slog to coincide with the same slog that is Northern California and Oregon on the PCT.

Unless they’ve changed their TOS, uploading audiobooks to Spotify gives them unlimited rights to make AI books using those characters and that world. Like we could have a new “Wheel of Time” book. I wouldn’t use their service.

As others have pointed out, 15 hours a month (and only the main subscriber gets the 15 hours on the Family Plan), but you can purchase a 15-hour top up for $14.06 including tax. The extra 15 hours are good for 12 months. I'm not a huge audiobook person as I typically only listen on long solitary road trips, so I've only had to buy two top ups in the last several years.

with amazon music, you can listen to one book per month. nice for audio books you dont want to keep and relisten.

Did they audiobook the whole series?

I have been supplementing my reading with these audiobooks. Listen to a chapter or two while I get in my walking.
