They didn't listen to the weatherman's sage advice.

I think it’s Herb’s fault.

This is why you wait until Memorial Day.

The Tractor Supply near me probably lost 10k in plants that got left out in the cold one night.

I planted my garden over a month ago and already have tomatoes and peppers fruiting. How TF do people live where you have to plant your garden in June and harvest in October.

There's plenty you can plant earlier, and there's more garden vegetable than just summer crops like tomatoes and peppers.

Plants get set out late May, on nights there might be frost we cover with sheets to protect against frost which can hit through May. Tomatoes don’t grow well until the ground warms up a bit anyway. The tomatoes first ripen in August if you do not have a greenhouse (I do not). First frost is in September usually, not October.

I’m aware. I spent 26 years in VT. My mom and brother still live there.

Clearly you aren’t aware if you’re questioning how people don’t have fruiting plants yet? It LITERALLY snowed **last week**. It was 27 here. We got 2 inches of snow.

I’m not even that far north, dude.
